Week 3.

WEEK 3

Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place.

But surely no one else will give into them, right?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking.

Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

I think I've had enough when them bringing in overly personal items. They should just keep to cigarettes.

[Those are things he needs wants anyways.]

While there's a couple of things of mine that I wouldn't mind seeing, I doubt they would be so kind as to make it that convenient. I wouldn't be opposed to having more reading material, after all.

Having some reading material would be nice. I'm itching for a book. Given the era this place is from, that means they'll probably be paperback, which is nicer.
aspiringly: (that's quite the tale you have there.)

[Oh hey, there's a point of similarity there...?]

So you're more used to digital books as well? I have to admit I was surprised to see all the pen and paper around here when I arrived.

I am. That's actually all they sell nowadays, however, paperbooks can be found in things like antique stores. They're simply not published like that anymore.

[Which is a shame. There is a certain niceness about reading a paperback book.]

That's unfortunate, but a situation I know all too well. Physical copies are all but kept to the aristocratic or the wealthy nowadays, and some of the rarer volumes would likely be able to keep a small family fed for at least a month.

[Damn corrupt bourgeoisie, etc.]

What's your favorite genre?

I rather enjoy reading science fiction.

[That might be really ironic to hear to some considering he lives in the science fiction future to them.]
aspiringly: (that's quite the tale you have there.)

[It's also pretty ironic considering McGillis is from a place with giant robots and space travel, and he's definitely aware that there's a couple of people here who don't have either in their own worlds.]

I haven't delved much into that genre myself, but I wouldn't mind reading a few if we can find any during our stay.

At this point, I might take anything to read.

[He chuckles.]

I'm amazed that a hospital doesn't have any reading material.

It is strange, isn't it? Usually you would expect to have at least a few magazines around for waiting patients to occupy themselves with; instead, we have something as out of place as a shooting range. It almost makes you wonder if this was meant to be a hospital to begin with.

It probably was and it got repurposed for something like this. Based on the condition, I highly doubt it's the first time it's been used for this reason.
aspiringly: (pirates. i think pirates would win.)

[personal profile] aspiringly 2017-06-26 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
You're referring to what the Transmitter told us in the first trial, correct? If that's the case, I wonder if there could be any remnants from our predecessors, as careless as it would be.

[If any of the damage is retained, then perhaps there may be something that was missed, even if they cleaned things up.]
