Week 4.

WEEK 4

Your secrets are safe, at the cost of Yusuke Kitagawa's and Damon Gant's lives. There's no more room for doubt: the Transmitter and the Risen are going to keep pushing for people to kill every week with a new incentive.

Who will give in this week?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Furthermore, it seems that another corridor has been opened to you, moving northward from the previous two sections that have been unlocked; as always, it's just sort of there now, as opposed to anything you may have noticed before. It seems a bit quieter down this way, the usual whispering and static that crops up from time to time a little less present; maybe you're getting closer to something that may be considered peaceful.

Or maybe you're not. After all, the game is still on, and doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 24

[She spends several hours in the library herself today, though she's looking through different novels. Being here so long, though, makes it easy to notice that Pizzazz seems particularly fascinated by what she's reading.]

It must be a pretty good book, huh?

[personal profile] arebetter 2017-06-30 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
[ Pizzazz shrugs. ]

It's alright. Something to focus on.

[personal profile] barehands 2017-06-30 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
What's it about?
arebetter: (29)

[personal profile] arebetter 2017-06-30 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
Uh... standard chosen hero stuff. Evil king, prophecy, goddamn love triangle- rectangle, excuse me, nonsense. I like the necromancer, though, she's fun.

[personal profile] barehands 2017-06-30 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
Rectangle? That's a lot of people to be involved in something like that... Jeez.

[She blinks, focusing on that last part next.]

Isn't that... raising people from the dead?
arebetter: (22)

[personal profile] arebetter 2017-06-30 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
Well one of them is like... two people in one? She has a fantasy superhero alter ego, because of course she does.

Yeah, but she actually gets things done.

[personal profile] barehands 2017-06-30 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
Wouldn't it technically be a triangle, then? I think you're still one person if you have an alter ego...

[A small frown.]

Raising people from the dead seems kind of creepy, though.

[regains are going to be a trip]

[personal profile] arebetter 2017-06-30 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe? I don't know, I don't really have one. I'm Pizzazz on and off the stage. Alter egos seem like way more trouble than they're worth.

[ jesus i didnt even think of that when i made this character a necromancer ]

Yeah, I guess. But sometimes creepy is just cultural differences.

[personal profile] barehands 2017-07-01 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
They do seem kind of complicated.

[But she's definitely giving Pizzazz a weird look.]

...Is raising people from the dead something that's normal in your culture?
arebetter: (23)

[personal profile] arebetter 2017-07-01 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Magic is not real where I come from, because my world makes sense.

[ ... ]

Most of the time. But no, we do not have actual real zombies.

[personal profile] barehands 2017-07-02 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Most of the time...?

[A small laugh, somehow.]

I guess it's good that you don't have any zombies, at least.
arebetter: (29)

[personal profile] arebetter 2017-07-03 06:51 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, no actual zombies. Brainwashing music yes, sometimes, I guess, but dead is dead.
barehands: (pic#9156513)

[personal profile] barehands 2017-07-05 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
That's a relief.

[A pause.]

...Wait, brainwashing music?!
arebetter: (19)

[personal profile] arebetter 2017-07-09 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, uh... that was a thing. Apparently.
barehands: (pic#8505630)

[personal profile] barehands 2017-07-10 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
How did that, um... Work?

[Yikes.]
arebetter: (07)

[personal profile] arebetter 2017-07-10 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, for one thing, it didn't, thanks to me. But I didn't think to ask, which very well may be the first thing I do when I get home, because looking back on the whole situation it's baffling by any standard.
barehands: (pic#9156444)

[personal profile] barehands 2017-07-10 07:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Y-Yeah, that seems... Really strange.

[To put it lightly.]
arebetter: (19)

[personal profile] arebetter 2017-07-10 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
There was... okay, so there was this woman, Silica. Jem and the Holograms knew her, because of course they did, and what she was doing started with them, also because of course it did. But her music... something about subconscious noise responses? It brainwashed people in a very scientific way that's faaaaar above my pay grade.
barehands: (pic#9156444)

[personal profile] barehands 2017-07-10 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow... She must have been really smart. A-And really mean, that too!

[But also:]

Who are Jem and the Holograms?
arebetter: (20)

[personal profile] arebetter 2017-07-10 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Ugh, Jem and the goddamn Holograms are... okay, so imagine a band full of like... I hesitate to make this comparison, but no, low-key Nachetanyas. Really nice all the time and everyone likes them, except they looooove stabbing people in the back. That's Jem and the freaking Holograms.
barehands: (pic#9156529)

[personal profile] barehands 2017-07-10 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
They sound scary... Did you have to deal with them a lot?
arebetter: (20)

[personal profile] arebetter 2017-07-10 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Way more than I'd like to, with how they keep coming after me and mine.
