Trustfell 5: A Good Day to Trust Fall ([personal profile] trustfellowship) wrote in [community profile] trustfelled2017-07-02 11:45 am

Week 5.

WEEK 5

Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here.

Is yours?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember...

It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet.

dangerousfool: (about that...)

I'm not sure how exactly they created all those stories, many of them seem so outlandish I'm not sure how they thought it was possible. But I'm from a place of science, scientists aren't known for, you know, believing in myths. Logic and rational stuff, that's all they talk about.

[The deeper meanings of mythology and the such are definitely away from Wheatley's understanding, that's for sure.

Still, even though Ryoji does seem the kind to do stuff around for a change, there may be a reason for that, and given what day this is, Wheatley only sees one possibility]

Did you remember something bad last night?

[personal profile] cadmiums 2017-07-02 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
The truth is often strange and bitter.

[ He considers for a moment, and his response comes as uncharacteristically cool, plainly stated. ]

I don't think bad is the right way to describe it. But I did remember something important, yes.
dangerousfool: (Go ahead! It'll be fine)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-07-02 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
...that sounded very unlike you.

[Yeah, definitely too cool for Ryoji. Not cheerful at all, like every other line Wheatley remembers from him. Something really is going on]

Want to talk about it? I'm still not the best listener, but--I'm willing to try. It's worth a try.
cadmiums: (ʟxɪɪɪ)

[personal profile] cadmiums 2017-07-02 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Did it?

[ ... ]

We can talk. As a mechanical form of life, do you believe in anything? In religion, and Gods and so on. Or do you just believe in your purpose? I assume you were created for one.
dangerousfool: (That was a jump. Say apple)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-07-02 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh boy, the words about purpose and being created for something get a reaction out of Wheatley, maybe because earlier events -- again. He freezes for a moment, looking around with nervousness, but manages to push out an answer after a moment, completely sidestepping that part]

I don't really believe in higher beings. Humans made me, it's hard to believe in anything higher than that, right? Maybe if you all knew what exactly made you, you wouldn't be wondering that.

[personal profile] cadmiums 2017-07-02 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[ He laughs, and it's an odd sort of laugh with no real joy. ]

That sounds fair. Did I ever tell you that you're not the first robotic life form I've met before? I know one more, her name is Aigis. I wonder if you two would get along.
dangerousfool: (Go ahead! It'll be fine)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-07-02 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
You hadn't ever said that! How's she like? Does she have advanced AI too?

[You mean to say other worlds also have advanced enough AI like Wheatley? He's already imagining this Aigis is like a core, hah. Can you blame him, all the robotic life forms he knows aren't humanoid at all, hahaha]
cadmiums: (xxxᴠɪ)

[personal profile] cadmiums 2017-07-02 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
She's very dedicated and very good at what she was made to do. She's as intelligent as you, though she doesn't have a sense of humor like you.

[ There should be a line about how she's beautiful too, but he's not really feeling up to it tonight. ]
dangerousfool: (Default)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-07-03 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
Really? What was she made to do? I bet it's something interesting. What's it?

[Sounds like an interesting robot, yep]
cadmiums: (xɪ)

[personal profile] cadmiums 2017-07-03 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
[ ... ]

She's an anti-shadow weapon, a failsafe to save the world in the event that they escaped.
dangerousfool: (It's no problem)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-07-03 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Anti-shadow weapon... [Wheatley tilts his head] ...so she's like a spotlight, a flashlight or something similar. I see. Nice.

[Wrong shadow, Wheatley]

[personal profile] cadmiums 2017-07-03 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
[ You know, that almost gets him to laugh. It does get him to smile, however briefly. ]

I think she would be insulted if you called her that, but that's a much nicer way to put it.
dangerousfool: (Go ahead! It'll be fine)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-07-03 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
[You'd tell her that if you ever got the chance? Hah]

But I don't get the part about shadows escaping and ending the world. How does that work? Does your world have no light at all? Like no sun, or some other star?
cadmiums: (ɪɪ)

[personal profile] cadmiums 2017-07-03 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
[ I mean we both know how that goes for her. ]

They're not shadows like that. They're...more similar to demons and monsters, but we call them shadows.
dangerousfool: (about that...)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-07-03 01:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I understand now. The forces of evil, trying to destroy the world and being defeated by a group of heroes. That's a classic. [And this Aigis is one of them. Well, if Ryoji knows about it then...] And you fight them too, that much is obvious.

I didn't think you were part of something like that! What a surprise!
cadmiums: (ʟxᴠɪɪɪ)

[personal profile] cadmiums 2017-07-03 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[ ........... ]

It really is, isn't it?
dangerousfool: (Go ahead! It'll be fine)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-07-03 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[Wheatley nods]

Humans are full of surprises. There's a lot about them I don't really like, but I do notice that--that humans can do a lot of impressive stuff.
cadmiums: (x)

[personal profile] cadmiums 2017-07-03 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
They are. I wish they believed in themselves more, and all that they're capable of.
dangerousfool: (1)

[personal profile] dangerousfool 2017-07-05 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, when you put it like that, it almost makes you sound like you're not human, like you're--an observer, someone who sees humans instead of being one of them. Hahah, crazy, isn't it?
cadmiums: (xxxᴠɪ)

[personal profile] cadmiums 2017-07-05 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[ ... ]

I would be a terrible observer.
