Week 5.
Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here. Is yours? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember... It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet. |

But wait! If someone caught him disposing of that, then they'll get suspicious and there'll be awkward questions. No, there had to be a way to dispose of that unopened secret without anyone seeing him. But how...?
If you walk around the hospital, you may stumble upon a very lost-looking defective and weird machine. The frankenturret has an envelope on its back, precariously balanced. 'Get rid of this' it had been told, but looks like it still doesn't follow orders very well. If you approach, the turret will chirp sounds of alarm and run away as fast as possible, dropping the envelope.
The name on the envelope is clear enough: 'Wheatley', and you may recognize it as the same envelopes for the secrets motive. Want to open it?

Wheatley is fully aware of these facts, and he's in profound denial about them to the point he can be extremely dangerous if left unchecked, whether it's in his attempts to be helpful, look smarter than he is, or given a position of unbridled power"
The secret is worded with more urgency than it warrants, but the core message is definitely true, no doubt about that.

[ Maybe it wasn't too much of a surprise that Ryoji was quiet during the trial and absent from the after party, it hit everyone pretty hard after all. And given his views on romance and well, his current romance, it's possible that's what's bothering him. What's probably stranger is the fact that he's not around all day Sunday either, and while you can knock on his door he's not answering for anyone.
Late Sunday evening however, long after the night siren he can be found in the chapel though he doesn't linger here for long. Looks like he's not intent on praying or anything of the sort, but he seems to have a curiosity of the place. Where he settles for the night is the library, which he hasn't much frequented before either. He mostly came here assuming it would be empty at this hour, but he's grabbed a book for the sake of something to read-- looks to be one on mythology. ]

Amidst the blowing winds, she leaps off the skyscraper without hesitation. Shirou is frantically yelling after her, but there's no need for that. Archer is at her side, and he will catch her every time. There's nothing she has left to give Shirou but a final warning.
...Ah. An almost happy memory; it was ruined at the last moment, but when Rin wakes it's to the phantom feeling of Archer's hand, warm at her back, and Fuyuki's winter wind chilling her skin. She thinks she's caught up now.
Her first stop of the day is at the infirmary, of course. It's Sunday, which means new supplies for her, which in turn means carting them back to her room for safekeeping. Feel free to run into her there or in between the halls. Most of the way towards Room 9 she's lost in thought, making it all the way to Room 30 before she realizes she passed her room. Well. Back the way she came then.
Afterwards, Rin checks out the new corridor. Initially, it's location interests her, but she finds the new rooms disappointing. Actually, if you encounter her outside the arcade room she is making the most put out face. That said, the mystery room definitely stirs intrigue, and Rin will return there later with her silver key. Time for an investigation that may or may not get anywhere, depending.]

The new room that Danny decides to look at for a little while is the workshop, examining and picking up different tools that are available. After this past trial, he has little faith in believing that no one will think of using these for a potential murder, so it's best to get accustomed to what's here just in case.
Afterwards, Danny will go to the art studio to sketch: again, a lot of focus on the faces and eyes of some people here and he knows at home, though there is a sketch of one person's face that he hasn't done before until now, which he is going to bring to the shooting range with him and... attempt to fix it to one of the targets to aim at here, um.]

“Rin Tohsaka and Shirou Emiya will suffer more if you live. It’s more fun that way.”
Running like a coward, she can’t tell the difference between her tears and the rain anymore.
Sakura gets a late start this Sunday morning. Very late. Her door doesn’t open until well into the afternoon, and even then she skips lunch. It’s the pragmatic choice today.
Her first destination is the pool of all places – not because she can swim well, goodness no. Sakura doesn’t even change into a bathing suit. But she figured a change of pace was in order, and so sits at the deep end with her legs in the water, staring unblinkingly at the surface. (Not gonna swim, hun?... Okay, you do you.)
Afterward, she goes to the chapel, another place she has never frequented before. Though she's never been particularly religious, the weight of her memories means she feels... compelled to sit at one of the pews and stare towards the center. Rejoice, Matou.
Around dinner time is when she’ll finally hit the kitchen, as even distractions can’t mask her growing hunger. Though she is a bit... out of it. Thank goodness things fix themselves around here, because Sakura is on her third broken plate within a span of 20 minutes, and has burned her eggs beyond recognition. The shame would make her blush under normal circumstances. Instead, she takes as many bites as she can stomach before throwing her plate away, and brews whatever tea she think will help her sleep--
... No. On second thought. She'll just go to the infirmary in the night. Sleeping pills really are a godsend.

What the hell did he dream about?
He finally begins to regain his composure when he reaches the pool and dumps himself in there for a little while. He can be found there doing his usual weird pool habits, though he's actually more above the water than below it this time around, just kind of...floating there in contemplation.
Once he's gotten over whatever the heck happened earlier, Lovecraft decides to explore the new area of the building. The arcade catches his interest strangely enough (annoying flashing lights aside), and so he spends some time poking around at the various games. He doesn't seem to be particularly good at them though, if his inability to react to the Jubeat sequences in a timely manner says anything. He'll...keep trying, though. It's a distraction.]

It's a long time before Greed leaves his room, well past noon. When he does leave, his first stop is to the library, where he spends most of the day reading quietly. Despite how boisterous he has been in the past, Greed is surprisingly quiet. Eventually, he goes to check out the newly opened section of the hospital, ignoring the arcade for the workshop where he will be for the rest of the night, apparently content to idly carve away at a piece of scrap wood with one of the carving knives.]

Wesker wasn't angry over Nachetanya, even after he'd had time to process everything and wasn't riding high on adrenaline; he wasn't angry last night, and he isn't angry today, despite the heavy themes of betrayal that had run through his dreams. Instead he's just...cold, walled-off more than usual – he doesn't seem interested in speaking very much, and while he can be found in more communal areas, he's generally keeping to himself.
While he's noticed the presence of another hallway, the windows of the external foyer seem to have his attention more than anywhere else, for most of the day; he's just standing there stock-still for long periods of time, unnatural and unsettling, and he doesn't move even if he's approached.
He will ask something of anyone who does, however.]

[His words are even, but they're about as icy as the weather outside; there's nothing behind them, really, despite the fact that it's not the sort of question he'd usually ask.
Today is going to be...strange, most likely.
He won't stay there forever, though; eventually he'll go look at the new corridor, his attention being caught by the arcade of all places. Whether he'd normally appreciate such a place or not, something about all the lights and noise catches his attention and holds it there – this is approximately the level of sensory overload he needed right now, and he can be found working out Jubeat timing and actually being surprisingly competent at it. It reminds him of...something, anyway, unrelated to the dreams and his time here, and the memory isn't a bad one for once, and it seems to be relaxing him a bit as he goes.
He'll be in here until well after the night time static blares out, just...rote memorizing as much of the patterns as he can, over and over and over again; he seems to find it calming, at least. One of the few things here that is right now.]

Today, however, QQ is off to explore the new area with her usual exuberance. ...Or at least she was until she saw the arcade. Guess who's spending a good chunk of the afternoon on dancing in DDR and puzzling over how Pac-Man is supposed to work? (Seriously, what are these machines for and how do they run?)
Later that evening though, she'll pull herself away from the arcade to go check out the workshop. After checking out what tools are there, she'll humming and rifling through everything for whittling tools and wood to bring to her room. Which, you know, isn't a hotbed for tetanus. ]

She had every intention of spending today a lot like yesterday, but after breakfast, it occurs to her that she should probably explore the new rooms. Of all things, the workshop is what catches her attention, and she lights up like she found the solution to all the world's problems; after a short trip to the storage room, she starts tying some wood together, then ties the other end of the rope to her waist. With a good amount of weight tied firmly to her hips, she starts sprinting up and down the hallway with the wood awkwardly clanking behind- at least she's wearing some elevated boots she got from the vending machine instead of her damn stripper heels.
After spending a good amount of time doing that, she'll go and explore the arcade... And her demeanor more or less switches like a lightswitch from before. Everything in here is a novelty, and she needs to try out every game at least once, although ultimately she ends up parking her butt by the DDR machine. But when she's there- or even before that- she'll eagerly stand in front of any machine and call out to whoever shows up with-]

You know what time it is, Patients! Meet in the media room. We're sure you'll find this very important.
[ They...actually keep whistling it, a happy song, one that plays softly from the monitors, which are predictably not doing too hot. The screens are just...all over the place today, honestly, and they seem to be out of sync with each other? Like there's a ten second delay on each.
Almost abruptly, the whistling stops. ]
You know...that song might be a little before most of your time. Let's try switching it up, shall we?
[ As if someone turned the dial on a radio, the song changes, and the Risen hum lightly. ]
Better. We'll keep at it, though! Now, where were we- oh right! This week's little instruction for you dear dollies.
[ ...As they speak, the channel's going to change again, and it will keep changing, each song not quite at the beginning, each track a little more distorted. When they reach their last song, they just start over at the beginning. None of them play for more than a few seconds. ]
We've been listening. We've been watching. And of course, we know your lives. There's a common thread, wrapped about each finger and reaching back to where you came from. It's time we...pulled a little, on those threads.
[ You may hear something else from the monitors, or maybe over the PA system? Something familiar. It's...you, or someone you've talked to in the past several weeks. Just a snippet, a little tidbit of a conversation. You may not even remember it fully, but you can really only hear it for a few moments. Then it jumps to someone else in the room, or maybe one of the dearly departed. Whatever you're saying, they all have something in common:
They're about the people you've left behind in your worlds.
The music is too distorted to tell what track it's on now, drowning in static. It makes for an eerie backing to your own words, and an even more disturbing companion to what's on the screens now.
Each one holds a different scene. Unlike usual, they are very clear. In front of you is a person you know, sitting or standing or whatnot in some kind of rundown building, not entirely unlike Beacon General. What kind of building it is beyond that you can't tell. There's no identifying information. Regardless, those sure are the people you care about, one or two for each Patient. ]
We think we've been accommodating. We've been patient with you Patients. But, we know that our incentives can only do so much, in the end. Assertive wasn't even really tempted by last week. So it's time to enact the backup plan.
Here are those you care for, in our grasp. What will happen to them? That, dears, depends on you.
[ The scenes stick on each monitor. There's no indication that those you watch can see you, or any awareness that they're being filmed. Maybe some are interacting with each other. The scene loops. It's only about a minute of footage. ]
We're not quite sure just what we'll do with them. There's...an infinite amount of opportunities. Should one of you fulfill Rule 7, nothing will happen to them. In fact, maybe we'll let all of them free. If no one does, well...
We can't guarantee ANY of their safety. It won't be good for them.
[ That set of songs that's been playing, it's devolved into simple static. With...breathing? It sounds like breathing. ]
For time and time and time again, you struggle and you persevere and you hold up your hands grasping another's, but when that hand sinks beneath the surf will you breathe deep and grasp for it? Or will you let it burn away in the abyss?
We eagerly await what flowers will bloom this Friday. Be they yours...or your loved ones.
[ The Risen's echoed voice drops to just the Transmitter's then. She lets out a startled gasp and breathes quickly for a few seconds, before even that cuts out.
There's been no playing with the lights this incentive, so it all just kind of ends. It's only when the PA system's ever-present static cuts out that you know, however, because the video on the monitors remain.
They will remain for the rest of the week. Consider it a reminder. ]

She'll check out the arcade just because it's prudent to investigate everything, but she... doesn't look like she's touched one of these games in her life. Time to start playing The House of the Dead and dying. A lot. She scowls at the screen, but doesn't actually stop.
Not until late, anyway, where you'll find her back in the external foyer, looking out the window like it's going to finally stop being Silent Hill any day now. Nope.]

That said, however, he's a man on a mission today, and that mission is looking pretty stupid; he's in the arcade for a good portion of the afternoon, taking one of the toolkits and using it to remove some of the paneling on one of the stupid Jubeat machines, and once he's got that done he can be seen messing with it for the better part of the afternoon. It looks like he's reprogramming it to do...something? God knows what, it just looks like he's found a way to wire it to let him mess with the beatmaps.
Don't worry, he isn't doing it to all of them, just one; when he's done with it...well, anyone who tries to play Elemental Creation on Stealth is going to be really pissed off, given that those patterns are no longer what's required to actually play the song. And since he's a total asshole and reprogrammed Stealth, you can have fun figuring out what the fuck the new patterns are supposed to be. It seems he knows and quite likes them, however; he'll test it initially, but once that's done with he can be found just...standing and playing it over and over and over again, his actions both practiced and oddly mechanical.
Once he's decided he's done in there, though, he'll find himself drawn to the chapel once again by evening; he's been avoiding the place lately for several reasons, not least of which being how the last time he came in here Nachetanya was there, and he has been very contentedly not thinking about Nachetanya. But just the same, he's here now, and he's got his stupid turret-thing with him for the moment and it's contenting itself by skittering among the pews and hiding under them like a master of stealth.
