Week 5.

WEEK 5 Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here. Is yours? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember... It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet. PATIENTS REMAINING: 22

Conference Room

[Late tagging up in here; Rin's often been in the library since last Thursday, and it's as she's cataloguing the books that she hears QQ's humming. With a hand pressed against the doorway of the conference room, Rin first notes the other girl's presence before she sees the blackboard.]

Is that the hospital?

[Referring to the map.]

Mmhm, the hospital! QQ thought it would be useful if we had meeting in here.

[ Right now it's pretty barebones, but she plans to draw in more stuff once the size difference between the rooms looks right enough. ]

Yusuke would be proud. I don't know if he kept up his map.

[positivespin]

It would be good to compare! Yusuke is much better at drawing than QQ, to say the least. Getting the size right would be easy for him.

Unfortunately, I'm not really sure where it ended up at.

[Is his room unlocked? Maybe they should check. But Rin keeps her attention on QQ's map for now.]

The layout is still so odd.

[ QQ doesn't know either, so she'll just focus on the next comment instead. ]

It really is. From pattern so far, QQ guessed the next area would be to the right of the chapel. [ She points to the aforementioned blank area here. ] Not here. [ This time she'll point to the very left of the map. ] But if this place is same size on both sides, then there is likely another area to the very right.

[ Now she takes two steps back to peer at the map. ]

Was hoping drawing it out like this would show a connection.

[Rin comes a little closer, to stand beside her.]

They have hospitals in your world, right QQ? [Or at least places of healing.] What do they look like?

Definitely not like this one! They're usually much taller. QQ's surprised we haven't seen stairs to other floors yet.

[ Maybe the Risen have dibs on them and are monitoring from there? Except that thought is as creepy as the Demonic Spear Assassin's face. ]

Also, every inch of it is related to medicine. Definitely wouldn't find art rooms or the, uh, arcade. Is that normal in other worlds?

Not at all. Some hospitals have chapels and sewing rooms, but you wouldn't see something like a shooting range. Ours are much taller like yours, too. That's the bit that's bugging me.

Yes, it makes QQ wonder if there is one. And if they're keeping us from it like the other areas.

It's possibly. Admittedly, however, I've begun to wonder if this isn't a building at all.

Not a building...

[ Well, she has a point. If it isn't like a traditional building, then it's mostly likely some other structure meant to act as shelter. If the window in the foyer is any indication, they have to be in an area that's rather foggy all the time--

Waaaait, wait, wait, waaaait. ]

...An airship!? Could it be something like an airship!?

[ Of course that's the first thought to come to her mind. ]

...Heh. I thought your mind might go there. [Rin smirks.] I'm not sure if it's that or a boat, but it would explain things, right? How we're trapped in this endless god and snow, but we've yet to see it pile up, or even a hint of the ground.

[positivespin]

[ She better get dibs on flying it if it really does turn out to be an airship! ]

Either makes sense! We should be snowed in three times over if on ground. And it would explain why they favor horizontal over vertical. Most ships QQ saw before try not to add many floors.

Although if it is an airborne vessel, it has to be massive. These days, aircraft are often shaped into tubes.

Also, how do they refuel? From what QQ has heard, airships, airplanes, and helicopters need fuel to stay in air. ...Lots of things to think about!

[heritrix]

Given how easily they're able to restock food, as well as broken furniture and supplies, it's likely they're considerably well-stocked.

That's true... Hmm...

[ Sounds like a fortress to her. And speaking of fortresses in the sky... ]

Actually, maybe it's more like Sky Castle than airship? [ Wait, she wouldn't know that place. ] Not sure how it works, but a castle QQ's been to was able to float without end. Most of what you could see up there are clouds and sky.

If it's something like that, we'd have to be right at the edge of the fortress. Otherwise, I think we would catch a glimpse of it through the window.

Good point. Then can't really tell without another window to compare. Or blowing up a wall.

[ Hypothetically. That was totally meant hypothetically. ]

Tempting as that is, I think we might get electrocuted.

Would be cathartic though! ...But yes, not recommended. Without knowing layout, could likely take everyone with if wrong thing explodes. Not a good way to go.

[ STILL WOULD BE REALLY AWESOME... ]
