Week 5.

WEEK 5 Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here. Is yours? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember... It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet. PATIENTS REMAINING: 22

[You caught her, it's definitely a dead body— wait, no.

Once she takes the cleaning supplies and heads in, if Rin peeks in pretty far, it just looks like she emptied last night's dinner onto the floor at some point. Gross indeed.]

[heritrix]

[Poor Rose. But that's about what she expected. Rin quickly retreats back into the hallway, leaning up against the wall and watching the ceiling, as if she's been patiently waiting this entire time.]

[barehands]

[She comes back out several minutes once it's all cleaned up, giving Rin the best reassuring smile she can muster.]

Thanks for waiting.

[heritrix]

No problem. Want me to take all of that back for you?

[barehands]

Oh, you don't have to do that! At least let me help if you want to take some of it.

[heritrix]

It's okay. I'm a hardworking girl.

[She makes a muscle.]

You just rest, Rose. You look like you need it.

[barehands]

...Thank you.

[But she blinks after a moment, remembering something.]

Oh, I almost forgot! I was going to ask, um... Do you want to spend the night together on Thursdays from now on? It could be safer that way.

[heritrix]

[Oh, huh. She wasn't expecting this.]

I don't see why not. It's a smart plan; we'll be able to keep an eye on each other that way.

[For once, Rin doesn't even chide her about trusting others too much. By this point, she's in it to win.]

[barehands]

[There's clear relief in her expression, and she nods.]

Besides, it could be fun! Just like a sleepover.

[heritrix]

You know? I've never had one before. [Rin smiles, broad and warm.] This will be a first for me, so you'll have to show me the ropes.

[barehands]

Really? I'll have to make it really special, then! I'll make cookies for us.
