Week 5.

WEEK 5 Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here. Is yours? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember... It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet. PATIENTS REMAINING: 22

Oh, I got one of those the first time I tried this machine too. It's been sitting in the corner of my room since then.

[He says, indicating the yeti costume Rin's holding.]

You kept it?

[Danny shrugs]

I didn't want to clutter the hallway with all of the other things people have dumped out here, and it didn't look like it would burn well in the incinerator if I tried to get rid of it that way.

[heritrix]

[She laughs.] Can you imagine opening it up to find one of the yeti heads still on fire?

[doctorize]

That would be quite the shock. [... Although--] It would make a funny prank to play on someone here.

[danny no]

[heritrix]

[Danny yes. Rin slides right by his side, as if they're conspirators now.]

Who do you think would be the best target? Personally, I want to see what kind of expression McGillis would make.

[doctorize]

[He likes this suggestion, Rin.]

He is the one that checks the incinerator often, isn't he? I don't think he would expect something like that if we asked him to take a look while it was in there...

[heritrix]

I bet he'd fall for it if we made a show of it. You could go into the room and set it up, and I could tell him I thought I saw you acting suspiciously. Then we'd both hide and wait for him to open it up!

That sounds like fun! Though, I suppose we'll have to test and see how well the costume burns first before we call him over to look.

[heritrix]

Then it's a good thing we have so many. This head [she holds up] the one in your room... Ah, I think I have one extra in my room still, as well.

[doctorize]

Then should we test it with one of them now? We can carry them down to the incinerator and then check on them again in a while to see what it looks like.

[heritrix]

Let's go for it. Just let me get the rest of these things back to my room.

[Timeskip?]

[Timeskip! Once Rin has taken care of her things, let's drop a yeti costume into the incinerator and crank this baby on.]

[heritrix]

[Alright, let's fire this bad boy up! Rin makes sure to leave the head centered and upright, to see what'll be in store for McGillis if they do this.]

This has to be one of the strangest things I've done, since coming here.

[doctorize]

Ordinarily I would say the same, but... well, try asking Wheatley about the explosive lemons sometime when you see him.

[danny...]

...Did they work?

[Rin...]

If the goal was simply to startle someone with them, then yes, I would say it worked. Couldn't get them to actually explode and create a way out of this place, though.

[heritrix]

Well, that's for the best. I imagine if we tried we'd be in for a nasty shock. Literally.

[doctorize]

Oh dear... then I suppose it's a good thing that didn't happen: I would have felt bad about causing Wheatley to potentially get shocked too if they had been successful when used.

[heritrix]

That's right, that's a machine. That probably wouldn't have ended well for him, especially.

[doctorize]

Indeed. That said, what we're doing now shouldn't be too much of a problem, as it's for the purposes of a prank...

[heritrix]

Definitely. [Speaking of which:] What do you think it looks like now?

[doctorize]

Even uglier than it already was before.

[Which is exactly how it should be for this to be honest.]

[heritrix]

[Ha!]

I hope it looks like a scene from a horror movie. Melting and everything.

Indeed. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he opens the door and takes a peek inside.
