Week 5.

WEEK 5

Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here.

Is yours?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember...

It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet.

[OOC: Welcome to week five of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

The one I let you borrow has levels and acts more as a platformer. This is fighting game. See the person my character is fighting against? My entire goal is to beat him in two out of three fights. If I win two, I get to move on to the next round. If he does, then I lose the game.

[He's talking and playing at the same time. That takes talent...]

[Just staring at him, staring at the game, feeling personally attacked as he explains while playing.]

Ahh... I see.

So you just keep pressing the same buttons...?

Kind of. There's some combinations that get you specific attacks. So while there's only a few buttons, there's a certain order you have to press them in order to activate some moves.

[Like the complex four button sequence he does as he pushes the joystick forward twice for some sort of special move that KOs his opponent.]

[A wince; her head hurts from looking at him complete the move.]

Did you learn this when you were younger... or just right now?

Video games have been around for well over one-hundred years, so I grew up with them. They've definitely advanced past this by my time, however, the idea is the same. One of my co-workers, Kagari, has a lot of arcade cabinets in his room, so sometimes I go there and play with him.

[A co-worker-- a latent criminal like him who is stuck housed in a facility.]

So you have a lot of practice.

[Alright, she feels marginally better; it's not just because she's inept at this]

This is my first time in a room like this, but I'm sure Fuyuki has an arcade room. [Humming to herself while poking at a joystick] Maybe Nii-san's been to one...

Yeah I do, I guess.

[Is that jealousy he's feeling from her? Over being able to play a video game?]

In any case, arcades are just a form of mindless entertainment to pass time. It's fun, but there's no meaning in them outside of that.

[Gosh Kogami, Sakura has more settings than "jealous" and "horrendously unhappy". She's more intrigued than anything... and still sore she hasn't beaten the first level of the handheld game from weeks ago.]

But it's what normal teenagers do, yes? [Pulling back and tucking her hands behind her] I hear some of my classmates discussing them... usually the boys during lunch break.

Well, some, I suppose. It really depends on what their hobbies are. Some like to play sports-- some like to play video games.

[He shrugs as he gets ready for the next round... looks like his opponent is a female and one of those speedy types.]
