Week 5.

WEEK 5 Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here. Is yours? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember... It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet. PATIENTS REMAINING: 22

What happened to their face? Looks like they lost a fight.

... You know what, I'm not sure what the whole story is behind that. Their face looked like that already when I met them and I haven't exactly been given the opportunity to ask.

Hm. Too bad. [ It seemed interesting. ]

I just assumed he had a nasty burn or something. [...] I hope it hurt, the bastard deserves it.

A burn, huh? Could be. [ This is, of course, the important part of what Danny said. The rest Mikoto glosses over without skipping a beat.

He steps a bit closer to try and look at the other sketches that are around. Are they on other sheets of paper? If so, he's going to pick one up. ]

[The sketch that Mikoto picked up was likely a headshot of Nachetanya he also did today, and despite everything that last trial was, it looks like he put a lot of care in sketching her as best as he could.

In particular, the eyes, showing the ambition that she valued so much within her expression here.]

[ The amount of detail is a little odd. Not because of what she did (truth be told, Mikoto doesn't care about her reasons or anything she said at the trial—all that stuff about killing people for the greater good is between her and her world), but because he didn't expect it after that "bastard" line.

His eyes rake over the paper for a few seconds longer to take in the care put into her expression before setting it down and looking back at the sketch Danny's currently working on.

Has the same amount of care been put into it? ]

[Yes, in regards to the eyes, detailing how one eye is smaller than the other and appears to be having some sort of defect going on. The rest of him is a bit more simplified though.]

So anyway, what brings you to the art room today?

[ Well, that's interesting. Kind of. Not enough for him to ask about, but enough for him to remember. ]

No reason. [ Mikoto means this; he goes where he wants to and doesn't put a lot of thought into it. He gestures to the sketches. ] What made you wanna go through all this effort?

Ah... well, sometimes I find that drawing what I can remember of someone's face helps keep the details sharper in my mind, despite having a bad eye here.

[Indicating his own right eye made of glass as he says so.]
