Trustfell 5: A Good Day to Trust Fall ([personal profile] trustfellowship) wrote in [community profile] trustfelled2017-07-02 11:45 am

Week 5.

WEEK 5

Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here.

Is yours?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember...

It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 22

[OOC: Welcome to week five of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]
ossifragant: (⊕ she will bring in a murderous price)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-03 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, sure. It might help with my trunk.

[He sets his project down for the moment.]

Maybe we could see if they would actually work on one of the bigger blocks of wood.
heritrix: (miss points-a-lot)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-03 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[She laughs.] It won't even cut my finger! But if you want I'll bring them both, and we can have fun with them.
ossifragant: in the ground (Ò we keep on planting their bones)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-03 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure, go ahead and get them. I'm sure we'll find something useful for blades that don't actually cut anything.
heritrix: (no wonder)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-03 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[In a workshop that doesn't have the tools for metalwork. Why not? Interested to see what they come up with, Rin goes to fetch the two Iron-Nicking Swords and will return in short order.]

Here~ you are~! One useless sword, looking for a new career.

[She'll pass one over to him, and hold on to the other for herself. A bit like a baseball bat, actually; she's obviously no swordsman.]
ossifragant: (⊕ out of three you've chosen misery)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-04 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
[He flips the sword in his hands, clearly like someone who doesn't know much about swords.]

Might as well see what we can do with this, right?

[So obviously he's going to pick up the sword to try and cut the small block of wood. He tries this for all of a minute before it's clear the sword, for whatever reason.... doesn't cut at all.]

...Weird.
heritrix: (good times)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-04 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Right? [She should be annoyed, but weirdly it excites her.] Even butter knives are sharper!
ossifragant: (Ô got hurt a long time ago)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-04 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
I wonder how something like this is even possible? Even a dull blade should be able to cut something.
heritrix: (I know I'm adorable)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-04 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe it's cursed? Or in a backwards way, actually a product of master craftsmanship.

[Like it was intentionally made to be this dull.]
ossifragant: (Ö but i'm the one to blame)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-04 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
Ah... that could be. I guess the big question, then, is how the hell these got shoved into that machine.
heritrix: (sunshine)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-04 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, don't even get me started on that. I'd love to study it if I could; it reminds me of a trunk I have at my house. I'm dying to know if they work the same way.
ossifragant: (⊗ sharpen up the blade boys)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-04 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
What, do you have some sort of trunk that's bigger on the inside than the outside?

[It wouldn't surprise him.]
heritrix: (say what?)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-04 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, actually. [I mean, that's the simplest way to put it, but—] How did you guess?
ossifragant: (Ò must prepare me)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-04 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
[That... makes him laugh.]

I was just thinking of the most ridiculous thing I could think of, actually.
heritrix: (miss points-a-lot)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-04 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
[He's just laughing because he hasn't seen how much more ridiculous cool it is.]

Believe it or not, it does more than that. It's about so large [she gestures to indicate its size with her hands; it's maybe just a little smaller than the trunks the patients have in their rooms] but the inside is a warped space.

Regardless of size, it can contain whatever is put inside it by fluctuating the volume of those items. But as a non-sensical side effect of that, when the chest is closed time passes differently inside of it than it does in the outside world.
ossifragant: (⊗ made in your image we are at least)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-04 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[Greed lets out a whistle.]

I'm not sure what all of that means, exactly, but it sounds like an impressive box.
heritrix: (photosynthesis)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-05 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
It is!

[She'll spare him the details, because that would just be explaining even more, and give the rough summary.]

It's a treasure created by the wizard, Zelretch, one of the most powerful magic users in the world.
ossifragant: (⊗ you have lots on your mind)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-05 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Did Zelretch just create the one, or is there more than one of these?
heritrix: (standard thoughtful expression)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-05 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
I've never seen another, but they probably exist. He spends most of his galavanting about, so it makes sense he would have at least one more to travel lightly.
ossifragant: (⊗ love the pearls)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-06 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
It sounds like he resourceful, if nothing else. But everything I've heard of mages tells me he wouldn't be interested in sharing his secrets.
heritrix: (shoulder)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-06 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, just the opposite. Centuries ago, he's the one who introduced magecraft to my ancestor on a whim, in exchange for picking up his lodging bill.
ossifragant: (Ò down man for judgment)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-07 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
Ahh, really? Sounds like an interesting guy.
heritrix: (chin up)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-07 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
[He is. Rin's never met him personally, but he's quite revered in her family, for obvious reasons. Still, she smiles a bit sheepishly.]

Sorry. I ended up talking too much about myself.
ossifragant: (⊗ as twisted and mean as thee)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-07 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[He smiles.]

Don't worry about it. I like hearing people talk about themselves.
heritrix: (behold such generosity)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-07-07 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Hrmm... The scales still feel lopsided. I feel like comparatively, I don't know much about you.

[Not that this was a big discussion. They've talked about each other's worlds before, and the condition of Greed's body, but yeah. This might be Rin's tsun way of saying "tell me about yourself".]
ossifragant: (Ô i can't make myself heard)

[personal profile] ossifragant 2017-07-09 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
Fair enough.

[He smiles.]

What do you want to know?
