Week 5.
Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here. Is yours? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember... It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet. |

Is that the girl you were counseling?
no subject
Yes, that's her... that's Rachel Gardner.

[She looks pretty young and almost emotionless. Like someone who's seen a lot of shit and needs a therapist. He'd like to talk to her, too, just for that. Out of mad curiosity.]

[His gaze flickers back to the monitor.]
Even now, it seems like she still has the same look in her eyes as the last time I remember them. Those dark, tranquil peepers... they never cease to amaze me.
[so hey kogami remember that conversation we had that one time about eyes...]
no subject
...just a little.]
So, is it her that you like...
[He doesn't even want to ask it, but he's going to and regret fucking everything.]
...or her eyes?
no subject
... Before Danny suddenly smiles.]
Can't it be both? Despite the situation, she is quite resourceful, and there's something worth being proud of in that regard too.
no subject
...uh...]
It's good that you like her characteristics in multiple areas, then.
[He's not even sure how to broach this because uh... dude.
...he agrees she has pretty eyes, but your obsession is a little much.
Honestly, he didn't judge him before, but maybe he sounds a little judgy now.]

[The girl on the monitor, Rachel, she suddenly looks up from the floor as if she suddenly heard someone talking about her... but, it's just a coincidence as she's done this now about three times since Danny started watching the video a few times today.
Still...]
That familiar despair, despite being somewhere else entirely now... [...] But once we're reunited again, I can give her all of the affection she deserves, that she was never given before. This time will be different...
[Rachel stares at the monitor for a few seconds longer, and then the feed switches to someone else. And just like that, it seems like whatever hold her appearance had over Danny is gone as his attention leaves the monitor completely to focus entirely on Kogami.]
I take it that you came to check on your own hostage as well?
no subject
[Or something similar he's thinking. Honestly, he's struggling why he's acting this way with this girl.]
In any case, yes. I wanted to check on Tsunemori. Though she might be the one keeping everyone else sane, knowing her.
[And actively working towards a solution. She's never been the kind of girl to sit around.]
no subject
[as for Tsunemori...]
It sounds like your friend will be a reliable asset for everyone gathered there with her, if she can keep the peace.
no subject
[Those are terms used for 'probably murder'.]
And yes, she will be. Though I wouldn't be surprised if anyone fought with her. Once she has an opinion formed, she refuses to back down. Stubborn, but that's what I like about her-- she's got one hell of a backbone.
no subject
[So yes, very murdery unfortunate circumstances]
no subject
[She at least looks like she's kind of just out of it. He feels pretty bad for her now.]
no subject
[... Well. Until now, anyway.]

[Does he need a reason other than that...?]
no subject
[He doesn't go to a therapist in hopes one of them will adopt him...]
no subject
She is, but her chances of being adopted or going to a good foster home or is extremely low right now due to the circumstances surrounding the murder of her parents.
no subject
...over the things he told him...
...and...]
Was there a chance she was involved in that murder?
