Trustfell 5: A Good Day to Trust Fall ([personal profile] trustfellowship) wrote in [community profile] trustfelled2017-07-02 11:45 am

Week 5.

WEEK 5

Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here.

Is yours?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember...

It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet.

PATIENTS REMAINING: 22

media room

[Guess who is already here when you decide to come in? Danny's sitting in front of one of the monitors and his attention seems to be so focused on watching someone on the screen that he doesn't even react to Kogami coming into the room... even though the person on the screen isn't really doing much and just seems to be sitting there, like a doll.]

[Kogami had seen the young girl in the initial viewing, but he didn't know who the hostage might be related to. Though seeing Danny stare at her, it all clicks. It makes sense.]

Is that the girl you were counseling?
doctorize: (he is haunting the town)

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-06 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Danny almost startles, but once he realizes that's Kogami speaking, he settles. Although, he hasn't taken his eyes of the screen here yet when he responds.]

Yes, that's her... that's Rachel Gardner.

[personal profile] carnivorously 2017-07-06 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
She must have made quite the impact on you if she's been taken as your hostage.

[She looks pretty young and almost emotionless. Like someone who's seen a lot of shit and needs a therapist. He'd like to talk to her, too, just for that. Out of mad curiosity.]
doctorize: (it's society's mask; society's way)

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-06 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Of course. [Danny smiles, eyes closed momentarily in an almost fond manner.] I did promise that I would do my best to look after her, after all. To take care of and fulfill any wish she desires, once I was able to provide a home that is...

[His gaze flickers back to the monitor.]

Even now, it seems like she still has the same look in her eyes as the last time I remember them. Those dark, tranquil peepers... they never cease to amaze me.

[so hey kogami remember that conversation we had that one time about eyes...]
carnivorously: (80)

[personal profile] carnivorously 2017-07-06 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Kogami's just a little concerned about you buddy...

...just a little.]

So, is it her that you like...

[He doesn't even want to ask it, but he's going to and regret fucking everything.]

...or her eyes?
doctorize: (it's society's mask; society's way)

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-06 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
[Finally, Danny turns his gaze away from the monitor to look at Kogami. For a moment, Kogami would be absolutely forgiven for regretting having asked, as he gets a stare that's hard to read here rather than an immediate response.

... Before Danny suddenly smiles.]

Can't it be both? Despite the situation, she is quite resourceful, and there's something worth being proud of in that regard too.

[personal profile] carnivorously 2017-07-06 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[Holy shit, dude...

...uh...]

It's good that you like her characteristics in multiple areas, then.

[He's not even sure how to broach this because uh... dude.

...he agrees she has pretty eyes, but your obsession is a little much.

Honestly, he didn't judge him before, but maybe he sounds a little judgy now.]

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-06 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course. That would be rather cold of me otherwise, wouldn't it?

[The girl on the monitor, Rachel, she suddenly looks up from the floor as if she suddenly heard someone talking about her... but, it's just a coincidence as she's done this now about three times since Danny started watching the video a few times today.

Still...]

That familiar despair, despite being somewhere else entirely now... [...] But once we're reunited again, I can give her all of the affection she deserves, that she was never given before. This time will be different...

[Rachel stares at the monitor for a few seconds longer, and then the feed switches to someone else. And just like that, it seems like whatever hold her appearance had over Danny is gone as his attention leaves the monitor completely to focus entirely on Kogami.]

I take it that you came to check on your own hostage as well?

[personal profile] carnivorously 2017-07-06 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Is she an orphan?

[Or something similar he's thinking. Honestly, he's struggling why he's acting this way with this girl.]

In any case, yes. I wanted to check on Tsunemori. Though she might be the one keeping everyone else sane, knowing her.

[And actively working towards a solution. She's never been the kind of girl to sit around.]

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-07 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, she is. Her parents died recently under... ah, unfortunate circumstances.

[as for Tsunemori...]

It sounds like your friend will be a reliable asset for everyone gathered there with her, if she can keep the peace.

[personal profile] carnivorously 2017-07-07 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Unfortunate circumstances, huh?

[Those are terms used for 'probably murder'.]

And yes, she will be. Though I wouldn't be surprised if anyone fought with her. Once she has an opinion formed, she refuses to back down. Stubborn, but that's what I like about her-- she's got one hell of a backbone.
doctorize: (and dark thoughts of devious plans)

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-08 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
There's still an ongoing investigation, but based on what I've been told, it sounds like a case of domestic abuse that escalated into both of the parents winding up dead in the aftermath.

[So yes, very murdery unfortunate circumstances]
carnivorously: (10)

[personal profile] carnivorously 2017-07-08 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
That's harsh. So that's why she looks like she keeps to herself, then?

[She at least looks like she's kind of just out of it. He feels pretty bad for her now.]
doctorize: (in the cold light of day)

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-09 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed. It's saddening, really, thinking that she had to endure something like that.

[... Well. Until now, anyway.]
carnivorously: (74)

[personal profile] carnivorously 2017-07-09 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
Has she been improving a bit under your care?
doctorize: (in their own sweet way)

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-09 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
I'd like to think so: it took quite a while, but she's opened up more in our therapy sessions, and has even managed a smile for me once or twice...
carnivorously: (72)

[personal profile] carnivorously 2017-07-09 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
That's good, getting through to her like that, especially with her background.
doctorize: (of a charismatic gentleman)

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-09 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! And I'm hoping that, if I do take her in, I'll be able to see her smile more often. She did say she wanted a family, after all, so I think it would make her happy to finally be a part of one with someone that she's able to trust.
carnivorously: (58)

[personal profile] carnivorously 2017-07-09 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
Why are you so keen on making her your family?
doctorize: (she told me not to step on the cracks)

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-09 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
... Because I care about her?

[Does he need a reason other than that...?]
carnivorously: (46)

[personal profile] carnivorously 2017-07-09 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Isn't she just your patient, though?

[He doesn't go to a therapist in hopes one of them will adopt him...]
doctorize: (in the cold light of day)

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-09 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Says the man who asked a therapist to be his "Master"...]

She is, but her chances of being adopted or going to a good foster home or is extremely low right now due to the circumstances surrounding the murder of her parents.
carnivorously: (42)

[personal profile] carnivorously 2017-07-09 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
[He thinks for a moment...

...over the things he told him...

...and...]

Was there a chance she was involved in that murder?
doctorize: (and dark thoughts of devious plans)

[personal profile] doctorize 2017-07-09 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
... Technically, yes. The official story is that her Father killed her Mother in a drunken rage after an argument they had regarding a stray animal Rachel brought home. He then tried to kill Rachel, but she shot him in self-defense using the gun her Mother had hidden in a drawer somewhere in the house.
