Week 5.
Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here. Is yours? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember... It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet. |

[OOC: Welcome to week five of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

Ah... I'm sorry, having you make me dinner like this. [Where is her sense of shame]
But thank you.

[He'll flip the patty once it's cooked enough on one side.]
Do you want cheese on it?
no subject
[She says, while looking forlornly at the trash where her eggs have been quarantined]
... I really made that... Mm... Senpai would be so embarrassed for me.
no subject
[Well, let's get out a plate and buns, and condiments and whatever shit we put on hamburgers. And put that baked patty on a bun.]
Here. Dress it up how you'd like.
[At least he feels better she'll have a halfway decent meal.]
no subject
... I promise I'll eat the rest in my room later. [Waste not. Plus she feels guilty this is the best she can do when someone else cooked for her]
no subject
As long as you get something in you.
[A beat.]
So, do you feel a little better that you can talk now about what's bugging you?
no subject
Now I'm certain I know how I die, is all.
[There's no emotion in her voice]
Nee-san's going to kill me.
no subject
Um...]
And you're okay with that?
[His eyes widen a bit. Of course, if their fates are truly sealed, they can't fight it, but... this all seems wrong.]
no subject
[Her answer might've been different when she woke up, screaming and crying in her bed, but she's had the day to think and come to terms with the inevitable.]
It's the right choice for her to make.
no subject
[The Rin he's spoken with... he doubts she would do that. She cares far too much about Sakura to resort to killing her. At least that's what he wants to believe.]
no subject
... If certain conditions are met, I'm very dangerous.
You can say my owner doesn't mind having a mad dog as its pet.
[The girl watches him with cool eyes]
Nee-san's going to do the right thing by putting me down... or if not that, just wait until my body breaks down.
[Not immediately, she acknowledges, because last week she was given a gift - the memory of Shirou's love, and some level of acknowledgement from Rin. Everyone playing house while Sakura slowly dies. But that's okay, because she was happy in that moment. She has no right to complain]
no subject
Is it certain that you're going to die back where you're from?
[His voice has a bit of a growl. For a few weeks she's been speaking of the certainty that she's going to die and as more weeks pass, the more he can't accept it. She... can't do anything about it here. Just like he can't do anything about Makishima. At least he got confirmation he did do something about the man who fucked up his life.
He can't get mad at her when she has no control over this.
...and that's the most frustrating part.
All he ever wanted to do was protect people and fate, once again, slaps him in the face for thinking so naively.]
no subject
... But then of course he asks the one question Sakura has been dodging like Satan is on her tail, and she immediately draws her eyes away from his face. Because yes, there are inconsistencies. Her profile says she's 16 even though her birthday hasn't passed in her memories. She can't feel the weight of her crest inside her body. Shirou must've somehow convinced Rin to stay her judgment, at least for a while.
Maybe if she hadn't lived with the embodiment of her nightmares for eleven long years, she'd feel more hopeful. But she's not like Shirou, and Nachetanya's betrayal reminded her of why.]
He would never let me go, Shinya-san. Nee-san must know that.
Please think of her position - she has people to protect, so there's no way she could let me live.
no subject
Right, in no way are the situations the same.]
I don't think she's as pragmatic as you write her off as. I know you hold her on some weird, contorted pedestal, but you almost make her come off as heartless.
[She's not like me, is what he wants to say.]
no subject
You think she'd chose me over the lives of hundreds? [There's a light, amused lift in his voice]
... Maybe this Rin would, but not mine.
no subject
no subject
I'd prefer it'd be easy. Then she wouldn't have to dwell on it.
[But they're getting off-track, she supposes, and turns so her weight is resting against the counter]
There's nothing else to do but accept it, and I'll probably get a memory confirming it later. For now, I'll...
[She'll...]
I guess continue on as normal. I already knew I couldn't go home, so... it's not a problem.
no subject
Is this all you needed to talk about? I'm not sure how much else I'll be useful to you as a lending ear, to be honest.
[It hurts he can't be useful, but he's not sure how else to help her. He's learned at this point not to push things or else things get hairy between them-- he doesn't want that.]
no subject
Well... it was easier, to a point. To that end, she tries to keep her tone kind instead of distant]
Thank you, but I'm not looking for help.
... So it's alright if we don't speak of this again.
no subject
[Because he sure doesn't want to. He's a realist, but even he knows this is too much...]
no subject
... Thank you for the food, Shinya-san. I appreciate it. [She'll just take the rest of it to her room now]
