Week 5.
Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here. Is yours? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember... It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet. |

[OOC: Welcome to week five of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

HOSTAGES (cont.)
To bring this back to the situation with the hostages, I'd like to put forth the theory that the Risen are bluffing. [She looks around the table.] I know that's your friends and family members in there, so believe me when I say I wouldn't suggest us without something to support it.
Two weeks, Asgore said something that I've since heard from the Transmitter myself; that we weren't chosen by the Risen, but were given to them. She said they waited a "very long time" for us. Given that, it feels too convenient that they've suddenly secured forty to fifty more bodies, all with some tie to us.

[ Might as well get that out of the way first if no one else will say it. She'd prefer that hostages aren't an actual thing, but unless there's something more concrete than that, it's not going to assuage any fears. ]

You're free not to trust this; I'd say a certain amount of distrust is healthy. However, from the conversations I've had with the Transmitter I would say it's unlikely she's lying. Her personality is ill-suited for it, and she's been honest with me before, at her own expense.
When we veer into a subject that's off limits, she's also upfront about it. I can't tell you how many times I've heard phrases like "I can't say" or "that's how it is".

[ Ugh, even more enemies to worry about. ]

[Unfortunately Rin knows shit about video games, so this analogy has to be used instead of chanting secret boss, secret boss.]

Rin nods anyways, tracking the connotation between illusion and false video, however. That's what she was thinking as well.]
The Risen have access to our memories; it wouldn't be hard to conjure up something convincing enough to fool us, based off those. Especially as we don't have live video.

Several of the hostages looked like capable fighters as well. Even with the aid of memories, it would be harder to perfectly imitate that.

Is that something all of us are willing to stake on though?

I think we should consider every possibility, all the same. Gathering more information to prove that theory right or wrong will be crucial too.
