Week 5.

WEEK 5 Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here. Is yours? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember... It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet. PATIENTS REMAINING: 22

[Sakura's gaze settles on Rose more fully after that, but eventually she kneels down to help.]

Here... [Quietly passing things to Rose]

Were you looking for something?

[barehands]

[She pauses for a moment once she realizes that Sakura is passing some of the items to her, but she keeps putting them back while she tries to steady her hands.]

Um, cleaner, a mop, and a bucket.

[imaginex]

[The girl gives a nod, making a mental note]

Okay.

I can help you look...

[barehands]

...You don't have to do that.

[Her voice is low, hesitant.]

[imaginex]

I don't mind... it helps to keep my mind off things if I'm busy.

[barehands]

[She thinks about telling Sakura she would rather be alone, but... She doesn't want to seem as though she's turning the other girl away.]

If you're sure.

[imaginex]

[She might've noticed a different day, but the selfish need to be useful fueled with a desire to keep busy means Sakura has her blinders on. She nods and stands up.]

I'll look for the mop first, then.

[barehands]

Thanks.

[The word is mumbled. She picks up another box to see if she can find a bucket inside, sorting through it silently.]

[It's silence on Sakura's end as well besides her hands ruffling through the boxes - at least until she finds her target. Momentarily proud of her accomplishment, she'll set it over by Rose's side]

What was the other thing you were looking for...?

[barehands]

[When she sees Sakura set the mop down, she gives a nod of acknowledgement, setting the bucket beside it when she uncovers it.]

Cleaner. I think some kind of soap would be good enough... Just something that can mix with water in the bucket.

[imaginex]

Soap... [Muttering the word while glancing at the boxes on the floor] Alright.

... Did you spill something? [She asks while returning to her corner of the room]

[barehands]

[She hesitates, but then nods.]

Mhm. Something like that.

[imaginex]

[A pause... but that's good enough for now. Sakura won't press, instead returning to her search. There's another stretch of quiet as a result, unless Rose has something to say.

Otherwise, Sakura only returns once she had a bar of soap, simply made and with a sharp scent of cleanliness]

Will this do?

[barehands]

[She nods, reaching out to take the bar of soap in her hands.]

Yeah, it will. Thank you, Sakura.

[imaginex]

Would you like help taking it to... wherever you need it?

[barehands]

You've been really helpful already... You don't have to do that, Sakura.

[imaginex]

Alright.

[She gives a slight bow, ready to take her leave this time]

I hope you feel better, Rose-san.

[barehands]

...I'm fine, I promise. T-Thank you.

[But she doesn't say more than that before taking everything they've gathered and heading out.]
