Week 5.

WEEK 5 Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here. Is yours? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember... It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet. PATIENTS REMAINING: 22

[Well, let's check out that prize cabinet first! Is there anything off about the contents, considering he knows about that odd symbol now? Otherwise, he'll just be checking its sides, behind it, etc. for anything of interest.]

[There doesn't seem to be anything containing that symbol that's immediately visible; however, there is more bootleg Hello Kitty than you can shake a stick at. Like, seriously, will you just look at these adorable little bastards and just try to tell me that your ever-loving heart is not warmed just a little, also holy shit what the actual hell are these.

The sides and panels seem to be fine, though! The only thing that's immediately and visibly weird is the slightly janky Hello Kitty bonanza.]

[Well damn, that is 150% more Hello Kitty than he expected to see in one place. Seeing those endearingly beady eyes even makes him vaguely consider if he should nab a couple for Almiria but uh. Now's not the time. Probably.

Well okay fine, are there any convenient rolls of prize tickets lying around that he can put into the machine, or is he actually going to have to play something?]

Well, let's check out the air hockey table next, then. Is there anything on the underside of it, or on any of the sides? What about the paddles and the pucks?]

[Everything seems to be in working order, probably, with nothing attached to the undersides; the paddles are in place, though the pucks don't generally show up until you turn the table on for use and as such are not there at the moment.]

[Well, guess there's no harm in firing it up, even though he doubts it'll do much aside from well. Just turning it on. Maybe he can play sad air hockey against himself

When they appear, he'll see if there's anything weird about the pucks otherwise. And just to clarify, there's nothing odd about the paddles either, right?]

[They'll appear, but it sounds like one of them may have hit something on the way out here. Like there's something jammed inside the table itself, somewhere along the lines of where the puck would eject.

(Also no, nothing off with the paddles!)]

[Huh. Interesting. Would he be able to, say, stick a pen in there, dislodge whatever it is and poke it out? If that gets no results, then he'll try and see if his fingers can do the same thing but you know. Can't be too careful.]

[Good going, McGillis - your adventures with the pen will get something small and plastic, about the size of a credit card, to slide down into the slot.

Looks like you've got yourself a card key.]

[Nice. Before he pockets it, is there any particular design on it that might indicate what it may unlock?

Otherwise, he'll continue exploring (unless that's it).]

[No design on it; it's plain white in color.
