Week 5.
Another week has passed; another two people have died. Tsubasa Hanekawa and Nachetanya Loei Piena Augustra have joined the ranks of the deceased. Whatever you may have thought about them in the end, one thing hovers heavy over the group: the fact that neither their compassion nor their ambition was enough to keep them alive in here. Is yours? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And of course, with another successful trial comes a new addition to the building, another corridor opening up on the west side of the building. The doors leading to it branch off of the hallways leading to the second and fourth sections of the building; have those doors always been there? You can't remember... It's a new week. Of course, that means you've been here for over a month, and your stay doesn't seem to be coming to a close yet. |

[OOC: Welcome to week five of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

Do you think they're using magic then? [he hadn't forgotten how Rin had said that the Risen could control the Transmitter]

Guess I'll have to ask them. [he shrugged, but did not think they would really answer him]

[Now that her exposition dumping is through, Rin's eyes have been drawn to the DDR machine again.]
no subject
Yeah! It's a lot of fun, and good exercise! [not to mention he was working off all his frustrations] You wanna try?

All you do is tap your feet to the beat when the arrows get to the top. Sometimes, you gotta hold your foot down, when you get a long arrow.
[then Osomatsu moved to the player two position, and gestured to the platform. center stage was hers!]

[Rin follows step, climbing on quickly. There were two of these platforms, but she assumed it was so people could play separately and keep lines from forming.
But she's checking out the arrows too as she climbs on, and then at the ones under her feet. So this game is a matter of timing.]

[as the arrows came up on screen, Osomatsu began to follow them, hitting the platform with exaggerated steps to show how it was done, though he was certain Rin would be able to figure it out for herself. she was super smart, still, Osomatsu felt glad that he could teach her something now]

[The steps are nice and slow at this beginner's level; she misses the first step due to pure error, and the next few only warrant "OKs!" on the screen, as she watches his feet more than her own steps.
But she doesn't look frustrated; it's part of the learning process, watching how he does it so she knows how to orient herself. Swaying her arms as if this were a real dance, rapidly she begins to improve.]

Jyushimatsu and Todomatsu are really good. But Jyushimatsu is... Ah, he's weird. He's good at a lot of things!

[She's picking this up very quickly now.]

You follow?
[who would be able to follow that logic?]
no subject
I'm sorry, Matsuno-san. I should have recognized that was a compliment, the likes of which you would give to a weirdo in a carnival sideshow.
[Just this face, as she perfectly follows the beat now. Why does that smile look so scary...]
no subject
he rubs his face, missing a few arrows. fortunately, the song is over, and they both did fine. now that they've stopped dancing, Osomatsu can actually speak, and maybe pull his foot out of his mouth]
That's not what I mean, Tohsaka-san. You use magic, so... of course that'd be weird to me. But I'm nothing! I'm a normal human who doesn't have any special powers. Hell, I'm not even that strong!
In fact. [he steps off the platform here, for some reason] I'm not normal. I'm worse than normal! If I was normal, I'd at least have a job, or maybe even a girlfriend... [ah, he's getting off track here... focus, Osomatsu]
What I'm saying is, my opinion of you doesn't really matter. I'll bet you've got a ton of friends, and you're popular and smart. So don't pay attention to some less-than-normal guy's words. There's good stuff in you, Tohsaka-san. And... and I'm sorry you even have to breathe the same air as me.
[and with that, he starts to leave. his mood has tanked a bit, because he's worried he's angered her. dammit, why does he even talk?]

Rin is legitimately trying to understand him, but it's hard when he's like this. Not once has she looked down on herself in such a fashion and has the mindset of one who's only known success in her life. She can't fathom any other lifestyle, or the insecurities of a perfectly average man. Very nearly, she opens her mouth to give him a piece of her mind—]

"There's good stuff in you, Tohsaka-san."
Whatever thought she had is quashed fairly quick. That hurts deeper than it should, and she can't even remember what she was going to say.]

H-Hey, what was that about?! [She climbs off the platform, heading back for him.] We were having a good time, weren't we?
no subject
anyway.
Osomatsu pauses when Rin speaks to him, his hands tucked into his pants pockets. they were having a good time, before he made things awkward]
...Yeah. [a sad smile as he turns his head over his shoulder] Sorry about that.
no subject
"Sorry"? That came out of nowhere! I was annoyed, but I didn't say any of those things.
no subject
... [what does he even say? why is he still standing here?]
It's just. Most girls I talk to... that's what they think. [ah, it finally comes out, softly]
