Have I ever told you about Makoto?

[arebetter]

You haven't told me much about anything or anyone back where you come from, really.

I can fix that. [ Today was still a mess but right now, talking about Makoto is the only thing that can make him feel normal. ]

I live in a city called Tatsumi, it's an island town in Japan. Before I came here I had just transferred to Gekkoukan High, it's a pretty good highschool with a lot of clubs and cute girls. I have a lot of friends, but my best friend is Makoto. We're...basically opposites because he doesn't talk much at all and he's kind of awkward, but I understand him better than I do myself.

What do you mean you understand him better than you understand yourself?

The reason I'm...me is because of him. He didn't create me, but he was the one who made me human when I wasn't supposed to be. I spent most of my life with him, but I had forgotten I did until recently.

[arebetter]

Huh. That's... I think I get that? Maybe? I mean you're being vague, and I get that you're being vague on purpose, and I don't want to press you, but I actually think I get that.
