Week 9.

WEEK 9 Another two have joined the deceased. All of the deaths that have come to pass over the past two months have taken a toll on the group, so strongly that it's almost palpable; the deaths of Ryoji Mochizuki and Sakura Kashima have only dragged you down even further, the weight of them bearing down heavy on your shoulders, tugging at the edges of your mind. You can't continue like this for much longer, can you? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... It seems, however, that your journey through the hospital is at an end, at least for now; search though you might, you won't find any new rooms or corridors this week. That's either a good sign, or the exact opposite; it seems that only time will tell. PATIENTS REMAINING: 8

Yes, agreed. Amassing what we know of our enemy seems to be the best start.

[ He takes out Nachetanya's diary from his coat pocket, flipping to the pages of notes about the Transmitter and the Risen then. ]

What bothers me about the information Nachetanya left us is the statement about us 'having experienced something that needs to be attended to'. So far we have found no common threat among our situations that encompasses all of us, so are there memories that are still being withheld?

Maybe it's whatever brought us here?

Ah, yes- I actually spoke to Nachetanya about that once...

According to the Transmitter, what we experienced is tied to our reason for being here. And...we may not be happy with that reason.

[Whenever they discover what it is is implied.]

I don't have the faintest idea what it could be, at this point. Short of us having all agreed to work together before we were brought into a sadistic killing game.

[Asgore rumbles low in the back of his throat, and takes several seconds to speak.]

That...is not possible. Unless some other force managed to revive me from death before any of this began. Which is not entirely out of the question, I suppose!

[But his thoughts are trending somewhere that he's hesitant to bring everyone else.]

Maybe. I'm grasping at straws right now.

I don't think it's possible either. [ A beat. ] I didn't think it was relevant to say before now, but, I'm dead too.

[ Dead, dying. Same difference in this situation. ]

Of course it is relevant.

I'd argue that's pretty relevant.

So now the most common points of correlation are 'dead' and 'involved in the end of their world one way or another', it appears.

I only barely qualify for the latter however.

[Man... Mikoto too, huh. Lovecraft gives Mikoto a glance before focusing in on George.]

Neither of those apply to me...as far as my memories tell me.

[Not that he isn't probably capable of the latter, but...it hasn't happened. Asgore is well aware of the reasoning for the former though.]

Then it's a coincidence. For all we know their reason is as stupid as, "faced something terrible and traumatic."

[He feels like he's hearing of people remembering their death more and more as the weeks go on.]

Hmm. That could be it, yes... That makes me all the more curious as to what it could be.

About that, I...I wasn't killed? I was merely thrown into space, I didn't die. And I don't think I was going to end the world in any way, so...I don't fit.

But that's no surprise.

[The Transmitter did say he wasn't supposed to be here, after all. It's of little wonder Wheatley's an outlier]

It's only a hypothetical connection anyway. Your near death experience is about as qualifying as my 'relation' to the end of the world.

There was a major danger to Japan and then possibly the world, but the crisis was averted and I certainly wasn't the one who caused it.

QQ definitely doesn't remember being dead. Though sort of involved in avoiding end of a world. Does it count if it's not your own world?

I didn't get new memories last Sunday, so that may be all of them? I don't remember being taken here, but other than that, what else could they have?

I already didn't gain a memory last week, so I am also caught up as far as they want us to be - nothing indicated how we were brought here in my memory either.

That's the obvious gaping hole.

I, too, did not regain any memories this week - though I am quite sure that I do not remember everything just yet. My dreams did not cover the entirety of the century or so that passed.

The Transmitter told me once that she expected we would all remember everything sooner or later.

Ohh, QQ got one last Sunday. Involved pledging to kill someone next time QQ sees him. Which is not a surprise.

[ She sure does not give a damn about revealing this. ]

Missing bits and pieces, but all of the memories regained involved the same journey. And that took...more than a few months.
