Final Investigation.

That countdown in the media room has been running continuously since the Risen's announcement. It's ominous; there's no way that it isn't weighing on people's minds, especially given that the announcement itself was so vague – threatening, surely, but vague. That, combined with all the strangeness that's been happening in the hospital lately, has led to an uneasy week. Thursday arrives. Everyone still alive awakens. Nothing seems to have happened. Exploring the building will at least indicate that no one has died during the night; there are no bodies to be found. However, there is something that you haven't seen all week, just to the north of Section 3 and the dorms. Another corridor has opened up. It leads north for a short while before making a sharp turn east; the eastern hallway ends in a door that seems to be locked. The lock itself is different from the others you've seen here – it's electronic, and it looks like it takes a card key to open. Beyond that door...well, it's both similar to what's happened in previous weeks, and yet the content of the rooms themselves is decidedly not. There's really only one thing to do here when presented with an opportunity like this,, isn't there? Explore?

[Lovecraft exits his room, warily but lacking any reluctance that he typically exudes. After all, the group knows something is happening today. They need to face it.

He comes across the new corridor during his preliminary search, and can be found at the entrance to said corridor, waiting for the others to arrive.]

...A new area. Shall we investigate as a group?

[Is what he'll say to the first ones joining him here.]

I mean... we don't exactly know how much time we're gonna have here. Probably more efficient to split up?

[ She peers down the hallway ]

It looks all within yelling distance if something goes wrong.

QQ agrees with splitting up. No smaller than two though. Any less is invitation for attack,

[ QQ may be wearing her military uniform today, but that's not going to stop her from being aggressively herself, that's for sure. She's not going into this letting everyone feel defeated from the start.

Apparently she has enough faith to believe they wouldn't murder each other today of all days. Hence the terrible joke. ]

[ He adds to the terrible joke by waving something around. Maybe it's the end of her scarf, idk. ]

[ Well, she did wear her scarf with her military uniform, so sure he can! But that doesn't mean she won't judge him for it, wow. Now she's going to hide her face with the other part of the scarf, trying not to laugh. Out of all the people, she didn't expect him to play along like that. ]

[ There's no choice but to face whatever's happening bravely, they've learned as much. George gives Greed a grin. ]

[Time to step inside with no fear. Fortunately, Greed is wearing shoe.]

[It looks like there's going to be a lot to go through here - the room is dark, but it's vaguely lit by the glow of buttons and a vague, ambient blue backlight that tends to indicate that electronic devices are on but not currently in use. And there are a bunch of electronic devices in here.

There are a bunch of monitors with a control panel and keyboard on one side of the room; it all looks unbelievably high-tech, far moreso than anything you've seen in the hospital so far. The monitors all appear to be off for the time being.

There's also an older computer in the back, far closer to what you're used to.]

She won't enter right away, peering into the room to check its layout and look for any possible traps. So what's in here? ]

[It looks like an old, run-down room. There are broken, dusty chairs piled in the corners and there's a hanging light from the ceiling that barely covers the whole room. The whole thing just looks sort of depressing.

There's a blackboard on the closest left wall and there's a door on the far wall. Which do you want to check out?]

Okay, this is it! We'll have to step forward now! Uh, you may want to step back? I'll--I'll take a look.

[Wheatley feels rather nervous, but they still need to go ahead. He inches forward, trying to look inside the area and see if there's anything dangerous in sight]

[Strangely enough, it looks like a fairly normal room in here? It's tiled, but it looks empty from the doorway. However, there's a darker area on the floor - not like liquid, but more like something that might be a switch of some sort. (Think more along the lines of a much smaller version of your 1500 Megawatt Aperture Science Heavy Duty Super-Colliding Super Button inlaid into the floor, that sort of thing.)
