[ After a hell of a trial, Katniss needs to focus her energy into something. So, the afterparty it is. Since she's not good at this kind of stuff, she's had some help. She'll pass out invitations to anyone she passes by, or she'll slip them under the door. ]



[ There is some food set up, but it's very much in sealed containers. Cookies, specifically, along with anything else she could scrounge up. There are very tightly sealed bottles of drinks, too. After that whole thing, she figures it'd be best to tread with caution. She won't blame anyone who brings their own food, of course.

There are fixings for smoothies, just in case someone's feeling it. Katniss has set up a couple of blenders around the game room. There's also some surf 'n' turf food, to honor Mack, too.

There are some decorations--courtesy of the guys, of course, because how the heck do you decorate for anything. ]

[ Inigo is absent from the game room once they're done setting up for the afterparty.

Instead he retreats to his room where he spends a long time just... crying his eyes out because Brady's death hit him hard and he managed to make it through the trial without having a breakdown and now he can't hold it back anymore. If you knock on his door he will unfortunately ignore the fuck out of you because he doesn't want people to see him like this.

Once he's out of tears he heads to the greenhouse where he sits down under one of the trees and... does nothing, pretty much. His face is still kind of red from all the crying. ]

[ She doesn't see him at the party after he helps her out--and he looked pretty messed up, besides. Katniss figures he'll be at the greenhouse, because he likes it there, genuinely likes it there.

She's glad she's right. (A lot of that happening tonight, weirdly enough.) Katniss takes a seat beside him, kneels pulled up to her chest. ]

Hey, Inigo.

[passional]

Hey, Katniss. [ His lips curl up in a smile, but it's very obviously forced and he sounds tired. ]

[flagitate]

Thanks for helping us. With the-- you know.

[ It doesn't feel right to call it a party.

... ]

He should've gotten more than that. It wasn't enough. [ She's picking at the grass here, her jaw clenched tight. ]

[passional]

Mack suffered for days while that cur got his soul ripped out in seconds.

[ It's not fair. He's starting to wish he'd gone to kick Walter instead of rushing over to Ferid. At least it was satisfying to watch Katniss punch him... ]

[flagitate]

I should've done more to him. Should've beaten him within an inch of his life.

[ Walter deserved so much more pain than that, though. ]

greenhouse

[After the party's wound down and Isaac's decided to take his leave for the evening, he spends some time wandering the rooms. He isn't really sure where to go or what to do and he finds himself in the greenhouse. He didn't pay much attention to this room earlier in the week because of the pool, but... Well, it doesn't really matter now, does it? Nothing he could have done would have saved Mack or Brady.

Inigo's presence doesn't go unnoticed and Isaac immediately approaches, sitting down beside him.]

...I'm not going to ask if you're alright.

[It's pretty obvious that you aren't.]

[passional]

[ Inigo looks up for a moment when Isaac approaches, before his gaze darts back to the white lilies that are growing nearby. ]

Brady was one of the people closest to me here. [ He sounds tired. ] ...This is probably a messed up thing to say, but the execution was... disappointing.

[glaciates]

No, I understand entirely. I figured it'd be the same sort of thing... but I was hoping he'd fight.

[Like Archie. Like Rideaux.]

He's the only one that I wanted to see hurt. That's probably wrong to think, but it's not like it matters now. He's dead. He got exactly what he deserved, even if it wasn't very satisfying for us to watch.

[Though really... that doesn't seem fair. He killed two kids and all he got was a punch, some crushed ribs, and death? Definitely not Equivalent Exchange.]

...I'm sorry. About Brady.

I'm glad Katniss got to punch him, at least. That was a little satisfying to watch.

[glaciates]

It was. I hope Robert crushed most of his ribs.

[ The greenhouse is Kyouko's favorite room outside of the library, and she decides to head there after spending some time at the party. Being surrounded by flowers sounds nice right now.

She notices Inigo when she walks in, and heads over to sit down next to him. ]

Would you like to talk? [ She's fine with just sitting in silence, honestly, but she figures she should ask. ]

[ He offers her a small, forced smile at the question. ]

...I'm not sure, to be honest.

[fittedgloves]

I'm alright with sitting in silence if you are.

However... stewing in your own thoughts never helps.

[passional]

[ He nods, slowly. She's right, it's not a good idea. ]

What do you think of... all that? It got pretty ugly at the end.

It did. [ And she'll pause, thoughtfully. ]

I believe that all future trials are going to be just as difficult as this last one, if not more. The longer we remain here, the more betrayal will hurt.

You look exhausted, Inigo-kun.

[Were you close to Brady? Naoto isn't sure]

A lot happened today.

[ He sounds exhausted, too. ]

[fortunatedetective]

[Naoto nods in agreement. This lodge is very exhausting]

But we're all alive and that's what's important right now.

[passional]

Walter deserved more.

[ He sighs. That execution was a disappointment. ]

I won't deny I had passing thoughts regarding the...lack of severity in his punishment, but there's nothing to gain by thinking about it for much longer.

[After the bad experience with the second suspect back in the Inaba case, she's really trying to distance herself from the amount of punishment a culprit must receive. If what she needs for that is to act coldly, then she will]

[...oh no, Inigo wasn't at the games room? He was usually there, so it was kind of weird that he wasn't...

...well. Once she sees him, she... she gets it.]

...Hey. You want me to go get some food for you?

[ ...oh, it's Mozu. He forces himself to smile when he looks up at her, but it's clear as day that it's not genuine. ]

I would appreciate that, Mozu.

Alright, then. I'll be back in a jiffy.

[GOOD THING SHE MADE EXTRA CHICKEN SOUP... MOZU AWAAAAAY and then a short time later she's back with two bowls of chicken soup.]

Thank you, Mozu. [ He appreciates it. ] ...How are you holding up, by the way? That trial got pretty ugly.
