you'll be alright, no one can hurt you now

[ After a hell of a trial, Katniss needs to focus her energy into something. So, the afterparty it is. Since she's not good at this kind of stuff, she's had some help. She'll pass out invitations to anyone she passes by, or she'll slip them under the door. ]

[ There is some food set up, but it's very much in sealed containers. Cookies, specifically, along with anything else she could scrounge up. There are very tightly sealed bottles of drinks, too. After that whole thing, she figures it'd be best to tread with caution. She won't blame anyone who brings their own food, of course.

There are fixings for smoothies, just in case someone's feeling it. Katniss has set up a couple of blenders around the game room. There's also some surf 'n' turf food, to honor Mack, too.

There are some decorations--courtesy of the guys, of course, because how the heck do you decorate for anything. ]

No, thankfully. Nothing but my pride has been wounded today.

[His smile's humorous though, eyes flicking up to her and then back down to his project.]

I think you did very well today, Katniss. You're a wonderful spitfire when pointed in the right direction.

Of course they are~. You, Aligula, and Mahiru have been our brilliant stars when it comes to pushing others until they break. We men are simply useless.

[standing there looking pretty... and ugly... listen their scale is majorly fucked towards one side or the other, there's no inbetweens.]

Are you not used to it?

[michelle the last time our characters had a discussion like this you were slated to die]

It's odd, isn't it. Being someone who changes her surroundings so much. [...] What did you hear it for back home?

[fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me]

They supported a cause they thought was right, and people tend to not mind dying so long as they think it wasn't in vain. If you've succeeded, then you've honored their wishes and their beliefs. Their own spirits that were brave enough to try, that were inspired by you.

[... Many wars are that way, for humans, and Ferid wonders if their situation could foster something like that. It's every person for themselves, after all.]

It isn't unusual, back home, but I think it's different being the one in that spotlight.

If they hadn't died, someone else would have. [...] Maybe even you. Maybe people you hadn't known. But it matters not who dies, but what they die for.

[... Actually.]

That sounds a little harsh, doesn't it~. My apologies.
