Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

[Lovecraft is unlike most people in many regards, Sakura is realizing. She just hadn't expanded that assumption to "defies the limits of human capabilities". Lesson learned.]

Extra incentives certainly don't hurt, although I would think that most of the subjects would prefer getting something more practical or versatile.

[She doesn't want to ignore what Sakura is saying, but... She can't refrain from commenting on what just happened, either.]

I could probably show you how to make lemon bars! Or, um, I wonder if we have the right ingredients for lemon meringue pie...

[She wanders in and notices the other girl looking down at the plate of cookies, tilting her head curiously.]

Did you make those, Rin?

[barehands]

[She approaches the edge of the pool with a tilt of her head, taking off her shoes and sitting carefully so she can dangle her feet in the water.]

What's an onsen?

[She wanders in and happens to see him in the midst of the drawing; she clears her throat slightly to announce her presence before speaking up. She wouldn't want to startle him and cause him to make a mistake, after all.]

What are you working on, Asgore?

Oh, please do... ah! Actually, something we've had surprisingly little of so far is maize. There has to be some in the kitchen, right?

Probably! Do you want it for a specific dish?

[nachetanya]

Not really, but it's such a common part of diets back home, I'd almost forgot how strange it was we didn't have it at most of the meals.

[heritrix]

[Oh you sweet summer... robot thing.]

Machines like you aren't designed to deal with vampires, huh?

I think there's a certain charm to them, but it's no fun we'll all look the same. How are we supposed to have a swimsuit contest like this?

[heritrix]

I'm a mage.

[This is the first time she's said it out loud, though splashing and loud chatter from other pool-goers helps to cover it. Even then she would not have risked it, but she wants to see Lovecraft's honest reaction.]

The conveniences of modern technology are more often inferior to the magical tools magi like myself have used for the same purposes, for centuries longer.

What items have you received that you want to use for that? I got a pretty good haul, I think.

Mm. [Rin acknowledges her, finishing a stroke on her painting before looking up. The footfalls were too light to be a man's, so she's not surprised to find Nachetanya there.] You were up too, huh?

Only to get something.

[ But... um, what and why are you painting here at night? She shakes her head and gets up behind the other, to look at the painting.

... That's sure some thing. ]

[Rin is totally here for that, for the record. Both because she can't wait to see Ryoji's best impression, and also because she is also not a morning person, so goddamn does coffee sound good.]

Morning, Mochizuki-kun.

[She hands him the note so he can read.]

I left a plate of cookies overnight among other things, to see what would happen to them. It looks like I got a thank you.

I still highly doubt that.

[Kogami is less so, but swimming is a form of working out, so it works!]

We got a bite!

[Rin hasn't checked the rest of the items they left yet, but the plate of cookies that were left on the counter have obviously seen some attention. While the plate isn't empty, some of the cookies are missing and the glass of milk has been drank out of.]

Oh, and something else?

[He thought it would be obvious, but right, everyone here is really different, aren't they?]

I did. They've been sitting out all night so they're no longer fresh, but if you want to have some, feel free.
