Week 3.

WEEK 3 Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. PATIENTS REMAINING: 26

[She was going to avoid the crossbows for now, preferring the more honest work of a traditional bow, but Sakura eventually finds her stare drifting toward the only other occupant in the room. The gaze lingers on him (first with muted calm and then with growing intrigue), at his proficiency with the weapon.

She waits until he's shot off another arrow before:]

Have you ever used a crossbow?

Well, it is considered something of an archaic weapon, so perhaps that's why - though I wouldn't be surprised if you brought it into battle with you at some point.

[You're kind of like that guy that brought a fucking claymore to WWII.]

I've picked off targets with a bow before. It can be highly effective, if used right.

...I haven't, though I know some people who are fond of them. They were never anything I studied personally, however.

[He just...has an obscenely high aptitude for weaponry in general. He's nowhere near a perfect shot, but his aim is far better than it likely should be.]

[Danny isn't the only one examining the ammunition today. Still armed with her bow and a quiver of arrows, Sakura stands next to the bullets with a knitted expression -- though at his approach, she'll greet him with a polite smile]

Hello, Daniel-san. Did you sleep well?

[A nod, while she nocks another arrow]

In that case, your aim is very good for a novice.

[He tips his head a bit at that. Acknowledging, though it was a bit unexpected.]

...Consider it appreciated.

[God, he's awkward.]

[Sakura considers an afternoon following Lovecraft around to be a rewarding experience; her understanding of "awkward" is pretty skewed.

She's also a very quiet girl, really, and after a flash of a smile, returns her attention to her target. Whatever else she's lacking in, archery seems to be one of her callings. There's no wasted movement or energy; instead she pushes the air out of her lungs, string pulled back before she holds the position, and then lets the arrow fly.

A bullseye... sort of. Within the red, the arrow is pulled fractions of a centimeter to the left, which is why Sakura doesn't look all that pleased and in fact lowers her bow in vague disappointment.] I'm out of practice.

Normally that would be the sort of sentiment I'd express, but targets have little meaning for me nowadays - what matters is that I can hit an entire head-sized target.

Hmm... I think it's my age that bothers me the most. [ Maybe an appriser is like a fancy barista name or something.]

[ Nod. ] It doesn't make any sense to me, because it's one of the things I am sure of. I know I'm 16, or I wouldn't be in my junior year in Gekkoukan High.

Perhaps she's just terrible with ages - the Transmitter herself has that sort of notation.

That's true. [ ...somehow he hasn't asked her about her age specifically, because he has his priorities straight.]

She said the information was difficult to hold onto when I asked her if she knew what an "appriser" was.

[That's morbidly morbid, and if Sakura didn't have the type of dream she did, that'd probably put her off.

But dream she did, and Sakura gives a pinched smile because that wasn't funny but what else is she supposed to do?]

You sound like a dangerous man, Wesker-san. [Said in the same tone as a girl picking daisies.] But it's true... depending on what you use the arrow for, I guess pin-point accuracy loses its meaning.

[ That sure is a QQ sitting on the fort, swinging her legs slightly. And is that a stick and cloth she's holding? Whatever she's up to though, she's clearly having a ball, considering the cheerful humming. ]

...if Sakura is willing to wait a little while. He's down there well beyond the amount of time the average person can hold their breath. He'd probably stay down there even longer, but he can't help but feel like someone's observing him.

The bubbles increase in number and the swirling mass of darkness begins to rise until Lovecraft pokes his head out of the water.]

Yes. It is much better than last week's... Though, I do hope they restock the chocolate.

A little concerning that these are here. Things are probably going to get more dangerous.

[You know, the crossbows would be a good thing to keep an inventory of because those are totally different than the steak knives going missing (in Kogami's opinion). Though he should also keep an eye out for who is proficient in using them if he can figure that out at all.]

I'm not feeling so hopeful that they want the murders to stop.

[Not that he was in the first place, but this just screams to please keep doing this.]

There aren't any guns here, but, the bullets must be present for a reason. More than likely, there'll be a way for someone to gain.access to a firearm, one way or another.

[ She exhales. ]

Do you know if any guns have appeared from the vending machine? Considering everything else that's come out of it, a gun may not be out of the question.

[This week, what she remembers while she sleeps is... nice. Definitely more peaceful and calming than it was last week, even if it leaves her with more questions. She doesn't really feel content when she wakes up, given yesterday's events, but she feels less anxious than she had before.

Which is why she gets an early start to her day, exploring the new areas first. The dojo doesn't catch her interest much, though she looks around it before exiting. The shooting range isn't something that appeals to her, either, but she spends longer in this room. She's frowning at the marks in the walls and the floor, and that frown only intensifies when she opens the cabinet and sees the crossbow inside.]

Oh, no...

[It's not as though this is the only thing in the hospital that could be used as a weapon, but it feels especially egregious to her regardless.

The pool, however, interests her much more than the other two rooms. She can be found in the provided bathing suit, floating on her back along the water and looking up at the ceiling. If she sees someone near the pool, she'll shift to wave at them.]
