Week 3.
Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

[Rin watches Nachetanya go, reaching for her teacup. It's gotten cold, but it's still good.]
What happened in yours?

[ She says quietly. ]

Was it bad?
no subject
[ Okay, she's got the markers. ]

[ Like. Seriously. Right? ]

[We hope? Is it Round 3 and we're all dead too.]
no subject
[ Haha. Ha. ]

Your arm got eaten?

[ She is in the stomach. ]

No wonder your totem is a rabbit, with luck as high as that! What on earth were you doing to wind up in such a situation?

This is the first I've heard of this. [But she seems to absorb it quickly. Reading a shitton of mythology will do that.] Are you saying you're some kind of warrior on an important quest?
no subject
[ she nods. ] It's the nature of my world. A thousand years ago, a monster that we now called the Evil God came into existence, and since then, it's been unable to be killed. Every time it runs a risk of awakening the Goddess of Fate selects six warriors to save the world.
... Ah that feels so lacking.
[ She sighs, and looks a little sheepish. ]
I could explain further.
no subject
[But no, Rin looks interested.]
It sounds like an insurmountable task. You must be quite strong.

A thousand years ago, and unknown creature appeared on the far western side of the continent. The people at the time and even the people now never named it, because there's no need to. No name could possibly explain it other than the "Evil God." The creature went out from the west and killed humans. And then it killed more humans, and more, and split its body to make fiends and killed more humans. It didn't eat them or anything, simply killed. That's all it did, with it's body or it's reach or poisonous breath. The armies of the Eternal Empire of Rohanae were laid to waste and their royal family was killed. Their towns burned. The people of the time despaired, because it seemed that they lived only to die.
[ She taps on her chest, on the crest ]
But then the Saint of the Single Flower appeared. It was a long, long battle, but eventually, the saint was able to beat back the Evil God, push back the fiends into what we now call the Wailing Demon Territory. When the Saint returned to the people who were still alive, she admitted that the Evil God wasn't dead, that was beyond even her power. And so, every time the Evil God would run a risk of reawakening to turn the world into a living hell, her power would travel across time and space. The Saint is now also known as the Goddess of Fate.
Seven hundred years ago the first generation of the Braves of Six Flowers managed to save the world, at terrible loss. Three hundred years ago, the second generation also managed to protect the world. And now, finally... I'm a member of the current generation. That's what this crest means.
no subject
Does the crest do anything? It sounds like you need all the help you can get. More than five companions, at any rate.
no subject
[ she's the first to question it. ]
In the Wailing Demon Territory, the poison from the Evil God is so strong any normal human would die within hours. The crest makes us immune to that, so we can venture into it.
no subject
So that gives you one advantage, but it's more akin to leveling out the playing field. You can survive far enough to reach the Evil God. Since it's a positive and a negative, they cancel out and put you back at zero.
no subject
And that's why the Goddess of Fate only selects the six strongest warriors in the world to become the Braves of Six Flowers.
no subject
You really are that impressive then. It's no wonder you survived.
no subject
Sakura... ]
... Yes. I do wonder what came of things, after that. [ She... ] Or how they found me. I remember screaming, but then my throat was crushed.
no subject
I assume these are minions of the Evil God who captured you. But that begs the question of why they didn't take the chance to kill you, for the threat you represent.

[If she only has one definite and one maybe, that doesn't speak well to their bond. In a typical fashion at least; it makes perfect sense to Rin as a mage.]
