Week 2.

WEEK 2

With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done.

Or perhaps for just playing the game.

Infirmary

You won't start screaming at the sight of blood, will you?

[If it happened to Mozu who says it won't happen to someone else too?]
passional: (AH ♛ for naga's sake that was a joke)

[personal profile] passional 2016-07-10 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Er, no? I'm just perplexed, why would anyone put blood in bags like this... My first thought was to use it for dark magic, but I get the feeling that's not the case.
fortunatedetective: (6)

[personal profile] fortunatedetective 2016-07-11 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
No, not at all. Those are blood transfusion bags.

[It takes her a moment to consider Inigo may not know what a blood transfusion is]

It's a medical procedure where this blood is passed onto the patient's bloodstream to help them survive, if there's a need to do it.

[There we go!]
passional: (SPRITE ♛ why this)

[personal profile] passional 2016-07-11 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
...So if somebody loses a lot of blood, you use this method? [ That's... strange, but it makes sense in a way. ]

Where does the blood come from?

[ ... ]

...Is this Mallick's blood?
fortunatedetective: (23)

[personal profile] fortunatedetective 2016-07-11 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
No! It isn't Scott-san's blood!

[Naoto looks very horrified at the thought. God, she really hopes it isn't Mallick's blood. It takes her a moment to regain composure]

...usually people donate blood because they want to help others. I don't know where the Adjudicator got this blood, but I'm sure it wasn't taken forcefully.

[She really, really hopes]
passional: (WAIT ♛ don't push the button!)

[personal profile] passional 2016-07-11 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
I hope you're right, my lady.

[ ...He would not put it past Juri to drain the body of blood after the execution. But let's not talk about this, he'd rather not ruin his good mood. ]

The thought of transferring blood between people is fascinating, if a bit strange. Then again, I'm used to injuries being healed with magic.
fortunatedetective: (12)

[personal profile] fortunatedetective 2016-07-11 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Huh! Magic! That gets Naoto's interest a bit]

Really? What kind of magic did you have back at home?

[She's a big fan of science fiction, mostly, but with recent developments back at her home she's quite open to anything related to magic]
passional: (SUIT ♛ tips fedora)

[personal profile] passional 2016-07-11 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
Healing magic, elemental magic, and dark magic. Healing magic does exactly what the name implies; it's used for treating injuries and healing wounds in just a few moments.

[ He snaps his fingers to emphasize how quickly it works. ]

Elemental magic involves fire, wind, and thunder. Elemental spells can be used on the battlefield, or just for doing things like lighting campfires.

Dark magic has an ill reputation; it's commonly associated with terrible curses and hexes, and while those certainly exist, many practitioners of dark magic use curses to make everyday life a little easier.
fortunatedetective: (30)

[personal profile] fortunatedetective 2016-07-11 03:02 pm (UTC)(link)
[Huh! Sounds pretty basic, and similar to what she remembers from the magic she has seen from her friends' Personas. Well, except the implied mundane uses. Those don't seem to be something anyone can do]

How can curses make daily life easier? I don't get it.

[Her own dark magic would be good only for banishing monsters away, it seems]
passional: (JOY ♛ looking genuine)

[personal profile] passional 2016-07-11 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
If you catch the common cold, it can be snuffed out with a curse. A broken plate can be fixed with a time reversal hex - of course, it's only temporary, but at least it becomes usable again while you buy a new one.
fortunatedetective: (10)

[personal profile] fortunatedetective 2016-07-11 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[Mental note: break something in the TV world and try to fix it with Mudo. It'll be a good enough experiment, she supposes]

It doesn't sound like it should be called 'dark magic', then. It doesn't seem particularly dark.

[She guesses what makes it dark is what some people use it for]
passional: (AH ♛ for naga's sake that was a joke)

[personal profile] passional 2016-07-11 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Some use it for sinister purposes, and curses can be very nasty and do things like making disgusting boils grow all over your skin... and sometimes dark mages use blood or kill birds.
fortunatedetective: (38)

[personal profile] fortunatedetective 2016-07-11 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[Wow, that's nasty]

That's--!

[Terrifying. It takes her a moment to stop looking like Inigo had killed a bird right in front of her]

W-Well, that's understandable. Magic can be bad depending who wields it. Do you know magic?
passional: (WAIT ♛ don't push the button!)

[personal profile] passional 2016-07-11 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
P-Please don't look like that, my lady...

I do, yes. I was a dark mage for a little while, but found that I only inherited a fraction of my father's abilities. I'm much better at wielding a blade than using magic.
fortunatedetective: (1)

[personal profile] fortunatedetective 2016-07-11 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[Calm down, buddy! She's not aghast at you! Haha! But she does scowl for a moment at the 'my lady', that's a tad too endearing, Inigo]

A blade? If that's the case, would you mind teaching me the basics of swordsmanship? I obtained a sword from that strange vending machine.

[It's a good way as any to know Inigo, she supposes. She'll find out his own agility and skill with a blade, that knowledge about him could come useful...she guesses. Okay, she's trying to find an use for the sword because having it lounging around in her room is kind of making her feel awkward]

It seems I'm more proficient with guns than with blades.

Not at all, my lady. Do you want to start right now? [ He smiles. He'd absolutely love to teach a charming woman about swordplay. ]
fortunatedetective: (30)

[personal profile] fortunatedetective 2016-07-11 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
If you're prepared then I don't mind. Where should we practice, though? I imagine not many would take kindly to you teaching other people to wield weapons in a place like this.

['This' as in the infirmary and the murdergame lodge. A private setting would be preferable]
passional: (DOUBT ♛ that sounds dumb)

[personal profile] passional 2016-07-11 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
The game room? If we move the tables to the side, we'll have ample space for moving around. Though I imagine lots of people are going to want to use it today...

[ The entire second corridor is still new and shiny, people are going to want to be here after a week of only having the dorms and the first corridor. ]
fortunatedetective: (6)

[personal profile] fortunatedetective 2016-07-11 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I imagine people will be coming and going from there for the rest of the day.

Perhaps the Music Room would be a better place?
passional: (SUIT ♛ tips fedora)

[personal profile] passional 2016-07-11 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Inigo nods. ]

Yes. Let's use the music room instead.
fortunatedetective: (30)

[personal profile] fortunatedetective 2016-07-11 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[Music Room, it is. It shouldn't be long before they're both there. Naoto has brought her sword from her room, aaaand...well, looks like she's not used to its weight. She's not particularly strong, after all]

Here it is. Careful, it's remarkably sharp.
passional: (DEFAULT ♛ a man of passion)

[personal profile] passional 2016-07-12 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
[ Inigo hefts the sword, feeling its weight in his hands and steps away from Naoto before swinging it experimentally through the air to get a feel for it. Having a weapon is... comforting, in a way. ]

Alright, let's begin. The way you stand, move and hold your weapon is crucial.
fortunatedetective: (25)

[personal profile] fortunatedetective 2016-07-12 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
[Naoto takes the sword back and remembers the stance her friend Yu Narukami usually has, and tries to mimic it. She actually manages to do that quite well!

Whether it's a good stance or not remains to be seen, though. There's no way Yu has the technical knowledge Inigo has]
