Week 2.

WEEK 2 With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 28

One of the other State Alchemists tried to kill me.

But he tried to do it with fire, so I soaked him with water and obviously he couldn't do anything then. I've kind of wanted to do that for awhile.

[okay so it was just entirely stupid, alright]

Why did he try to kill you?

To be honest, I'm not sure. The dream wasn't really clear on that.

He had a bunch of soldiers with guns with him though. I wasn't surprised that they showed up either?

Huh.

[ your dreams are weird, isaac. ]

...Er, what's a gun?

[glaciates]

[Usually there's a lot more death involved and a lot less Roy Mustang...]

A gun is... you don't have guns where you're from?

[well you guys have magic, so maybe you don't need guns??]

Well, uh... a gun's a kind of weapon. It shoots a projectile at a really high speed and they're really deadly.

[...sure that sounds about right!!]

No, we don't have those.

[ ...now he's wondering if it would be a good idea to obtain a gun and shoot the Grimleal. ]

Are those commonly used where you're from?

[glaciates]

Yeah, they are. All soldiers who aren't State Alchemists use them and alchemists usually rely on their arrays before anything else. If I'd gotten shot I probably would've died, but I wasn't afraid at all.

...What about swords, lances and axes? Are they used at all?

[ OR DOES AMESTRIS NOT HAVE A WEAPON TRIANGLE????? ]

...The Fuhrer uses swords, but he's kind of an exception.

[and isaac freezes his blood into swords later on but that's weird and kind of gross!!]

I guess swords are kind of obsolete when guns exist, huh.

[glaciates]

Yeah. I've heard the Fuhrer's pretty damn amazing with them, but he's not the kind of guy you get to see fight. Guns are more practical and since they're so easy to obtain...

["Practical." Yeah. That's... that's a hell of a thing to say, isn't it. Isaac trails off and shakes his head, looking kind of anxious.]
