WEEK 2 With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 28

What on Earth did you expect it to be?

Something like my babe after I liquefied him and put him in Hummer. [ hummmmm. ] He can still totally talk and move and have his own personality, so I wanted to see if there was any blood like that here.

But like, there's totally not? Humas are so behind in their technology.

That's just... regular blood. In case someone needs a transfusion. Though I don't know if we have the ability to successfully do that here.

There's IVs and supplies for that sort of thing in the storage over there. [ She nods to it instead of waving her scalpel this time, god. ] I bet we could, but I bet even more that we're not gonna need it. The only way anyone's gonna lose that much blood is if someone's trying to kill them, and by the time we find 'em, they'll probably be dead.

[What are you talking about? This is a perfectly normal conversation to have in the infirmary.]

I suppose.

In any case, none of us here are hospital staff. It wouldn't go well even if it wasn't attempted murder.

Evaluating and I could totally handle it. [ ...he's a doctor and she's mad scientist-doctor, they got this. ] Buuut let's just try not to get in the situation in the first place, I guess. Prevention's the best contraception or however that goes!

With all of the weapons around here, someone is probably going to get hurt by accident. At least we have bandages now, I suppose.

No more than they did before with the kitchen full of knives, Unconventional. It's not like there being butterfly knives or whatever in the machine is going to make much of a difference outside of how people can use them!

But kitchens always have knives.

I mean this is the murdermaze apparently, but kitchen knives are pretty mundane.....]

Exactly! [ exactly??? ] A couple extra knives or anything else we get out of there isn't going to bump up our accident rate! They could've gotten hurt just as easily messing with one of those instead!

Probably not. Buuuuut neither are the scalpels we just got! [ with the whole. infirmary thing. ] And the needles in the sewing room, and the...

Well, I guess there's nothing that sharp in the game room, so I guess we're okay there?

I'm sure if someone was inventive enough, they could hurt a person with something in the game room.

There's just a bunch of papers and books and small... ooh, they could probably get them to choke on one, or like, smash their head against a table or something.

It'd be a little unfortunate, choking on a small piece from a board game.

It'd be a good crime though. No visible murder weapon.

Would it count as murder? Would the murderer have to shove it down a person's throat, or could they offer it in a drink?

It definitely would if they gave it in a drink! After all, it'd totally be their intent to kill the person, right? [ ...right? ] Or maybe that's totally a way you can get away with murder if it didn't count as one?

I'm not really certain if that would count as suicide or murder.

If you're not force-feeding them, maybe that's a loophole.

It'd be a total waste of time if it didn't count for the "ending the game" or whatever thingy though, wouldn't it?

Unless you're able to pin it on someone else, perhaps.

That'd be pretty hard to pin on anyone though... You'd have to do some extra stuff to the body to make the cause of death look different, and then figure out who you could frame.
