Week 2.

WEEK 2 With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 28

Well, at least that is all resolved now. How are the hands coming along, by the way?

A lot better. I can sleep pretty decently now.

[ ... Kind of, but she doesn't want to worry Luca more. ]

That's good. It's already hard enough to sleep here.

[And oh look, caramel hot chocolate is done! Luca finishes preparing the cup, and he scoots it over to Katniss.]

Yeah. Especially since there's nothing to do.

[ Sure, they have games, and the sewing room, but...

She sips at it, her eyes brightening a little. Another sip, before she speaks again. She's holding back, doing her best to not chug the stuff. ]

You're welcome. Caramel is one of the few sweet things I'm alright with, honestly. It's good in coffee too.

And if you need something to do, I found some interesting books that look like they might be used for an imagination-based game of some sort. Would that interest you?

I don't like coffee. It's way too bitter.

[ Another sip, before she considers that... ]

Depends on what the game's like.

Truthfully, it's new to me too. But it appears to be a game where you pretend to be someone else, and play out adventures with a group.

[ That doesn't sound too bad, honestly...? ]

It wouldn't hurt to try it.

We're meeting Thursday morning, in the game room, after breakfast. It looks like it will take a few hours to play, so keep your morning open, alright?

I don't know. I have a pretty full schedule of doing nothing all morning, but I'll make room.
