WEEK 2 With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 28

I'm not a leader and I don't think I could ever put myself out there for people like that. I don't have the patience for it, for one.

[And for everything else... well, he doesn't like the idea of being walked all over and he gets enough of that as it is. Trying to help others is a very admirable goal! It just... isn't something he can do after what he's been through.]

[Not everyone wants to take the reigns and yes, Aymeric has gotten trampled on a bit on his climb to his current position. Were there times he wanted to quit? Without a doubt. But he was a stubborn idiot and kept moving.]

There is nothing wrong with that; mayhap I like a bit of a challenge as well.

[SHRUG WHAT A WEIRDO ELF MAN HE IS]

But tell me...what do you fight for?

[There's no judgement in his voice, again it's that curious idea he keeps having.]

...I fight for myself, now. I tried fighting for others and making it into something bigger than it was... but ultimately, I'm not suited for it. I fight to survive, because I don't want to give up yet.

[Admittedly he had only decided this right before waking up here but it still counts!!]

And that is important, my friend.

[Just because they have different viewpoints makes neither of them wrong or right. Both men fight for what they believe in and Aymeric can ask no less. It's refreshing to be honest.]

...Yeah.

[He's not entirely sure why that gets him to relax, but it does. It's nice not to be judged too harshly for that, though he really does believe it's the best he can do for himself right now.]
