Week 2.

WEEK 2 With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 28

Sounds good! I still have one or two coins left. And I mean, it can't get much worse than that thing.

[... can it? Well, time to try it and see. Out into the corridor!]

[Most definitely not! Let's go, down to the vending machine, do do do...

...and when they get there Brady'll just take some of his coins out and stare the thing down.]

Alright... I guess I'll go first? [In one goes, and out pops item number one!] ...Aw, well. A cute little ring.

I'm waiting on my next roll to have Jean put any in

So they have jewelry in here, too? That's actually a pretty nice prize!

... but that makes me think there has to be some sort of catch, right? [Not to be a downer, of course, but she's caught on to how things run around here.]

TEN FOUR i will continue down the pain train, then!

No way. [He slips the ring on (left hand) and holds up another coin.] I betcha there's only nice things coming out of this thing.

[In it goes!]

[...And out comes a CD. A CD sung by Sayaka.]

cool cool let's hurt a bit before Jean puts hers in

[The color drains straight out of Jean's face. Ah, right. Sayaka.]

What is that thing? Why is-- why is she on it? Is that to remind us...?

...It's got some stuff of ours. I've gotten a notebook of mine back, and last week...one of her outfits popped out. So.

[It could just be coincidence.]

[oasisrose]

[hey Jean might have the boots to that outfit, shame there's no identifying information on them]

It does? [She hasn't received anything of her own yet, so she has no idea. She stares at the machine in wonder.]. Including Sayaka's...

[Her lips purse. Jean still a lot of uncomfortable feelings about the girl across the hall from her.] So, what do you plan to do with it?

[hahaha alas

He turns the CD in his hands, studying it.]

...I'll keep it. [His voice sounds strange to his own ears.] I wanted to hear more of her music anyway, so...if we can get a CD player...then I could. To remember what it sounds like when she sang.

[So she won't be forgotten.]

[oasisrose]

Her music...

[So that's what it did. On one hand, there a flash of spite in her that wants to see it broken. But the rest of her is tempered enough to let that impulse die without acting on it.]

[She nods.]. I think I'd like to hear it, too, despite everything that happened.

[meanttobe]

She had a pretty good voice. Spirited.

[But he really doesn't want to talk about that, so he just holds the CD firmly - firmly, but with great care - and just. Takes out another coin.]

Okay. You know, let's just try again, can't be any worse than that.

[meanttobe]

[and then the throwing knives come out]

Are you- really- [JUST GO WITH THE FLOW STAY CHILL AND RELAXED EVERYTHING IS FINE]

[oasisrose]

[Jean shrinks away from the weapons. Her color turns a shade lighter.]

... ... ...

Weapons. Th-that's right. This thing contains weapons...

[Deep breaths. Deep breaths. Brady just- he puts the knives on the ground, along with the CD, and takes off his tank top. In one fell swoop, he scoops the offending weapons up and ties off his shirt, so they're a little bag.

There. Much better.]

And I'll put these under everything else in my trunk. [The amount of not here for this he is, it's kind of unbelievable.]

[oasisrose]

That's probably the only safe thing to do. [It's not like the knives can burn in the incinerator after all, and dropping them in a trash can seems like a good way to get someone else to pick those up.]

L-look, maybe I should do one. Just to be sure this thing isn't jinxed right now...

[She fishes out a coin, and drops it into the machine. Please, no weapons, nothing of Sayaka's, just give her something...]

[... cute? It appears to be an outfit, though it looks a little small.]

Hmm? Are these more clothes?

[meanttobe]

[Can he burn them? ...Oh that might be something he tries, probably to disastrous results!!

When the little outfit pops out, Brady breathes a deep sigh of relief.]

Yeah... Yeah, thank god. [He examines it...] Maybe... It might be like some of the other things, but maybe it belongs to one of the smaller girls here?

[oasisrose]

[Brady. We do not use knives for firewood. They don't work well.]

It looks like it. ... hm.

Maybe one of these days, we should set up a big trading session? We could set it up like a marketplace, maybe, where everyone shows off all the items they got from the vending machine in one of the hallways...

That way, if any of these things belong to someone, they can point them out and say, "Hey, that's mine." Rather than us guessing what in here is trash and what's somebody's treasure.

[Look, this is a new experience alright.]

A little marketplace? Oh, hey, that sounds like a really great idea. [One that will go by the wayside 'til next week if we're all alive!!] I wouldn't've known Katniss had something of mine unless I walked up to her at the right time, so maybe everyone's got...you know, someone else's stuff.

[oasisrose]

You know, now I have to wonder if anyone's come across my things! After all, the machine did have one of my dresses.

Although... I can't even think of anything important I'm missing, other than my fans. And more clothes.

[meanttobe]

I think we could all do with some more clothes... Lemme try again, maybe I'll get something- I dunno, better.

[In goes a coin, out comes...a water flute.]

An instrument. Definitely better.

[oasisrose]

[don't worry brady there should be plenty of dresses in there waiting to be claimed]

[Her eyes light up. Music! They're on a roll!]

Oh! That's sort of a funny looking pipe, too. I wonder what it sounds like?

[he doesn't have the legs to pull it off like ferid lbr]

It's...a weird kinda water flute? [like look at this thing] You put water in it and blow into this part and it'll make a pretty sound.

[oasisrose]

[has no one taught you the importance of leg day]

It's adorable, but... if you put water in it, will it actually sound like a bird? It seems as though it should gurgle like a fish.

[look he's a swimmer he is all muscle down there it just might not look as good as Elegant Vampire Immortal]

Naw, it'll sound like one. Swear. I can show you later.

[At least this proves the thing isn't completely cursed...]
