Week 2.

WEEK 2

With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done.

Or perhaps for just playing the game.

COMPETITORS REMAINING: 28

[ Kyouko was about to suggest they move on to a different topic when Naoto begins speaking, and for a moment, she's caught off guard. That's definitely a concerning dream, especially when she doesn't know how it ends. ]

...I do hope you learn how it turned out, for closure at least. [ And then Kyouko pauses, unsure if she should share her dream. But Naoto told her, so it wouldn't be fair to hide her own. ]

Alright. [ Kyouko lets out a small sigh, not sure where to start. ] My dream was about the orientation for Hope's Peak. Except... it was an orientation for a mutual killing game.

[ She sets down the card she was holding on the table. ] I'm afraid this is not my first time being involved in something like this.

...then Maizono-san was involved in a mutual killing game in the past, too. At least you and her survived that one.

[Naoto supposes that's why Maizono tried to kill someone: anyone would be pissed off if they were locked in another murdergame, even if she didn't remember it consciously]

Was it similar to this one in some way?

Yes, that's what I believe. She was in my dream, along with all my other classmates.

[ And she pauses, thinking back on her dream. ] We were trapped inside Hope's Peak much in the same way we're trapped here. The most noticeable difference was the Headmaster.

What was different about the Headmaster?

You remember my profile don't you, Shirogane-san? I didn't know what my dislikes meant, and I do now. Monokuma is the Headmaster.

The Headmaster of the school you were going to study at was the one directing the murdergame. That is...

...

...that doesn't sound like the type of thing people would not notice. A school is a very public setting, unless it's in an isolated part of your world...?

It wasn't... it was in the middle of a city.

...The school was sealed shut, and we had no access to the outside world. I don't know if anyone on the outside was even aware of what was going on. I'm sure they knew something was wrong, but I don't know if they knew any more than that.
