Week 2.

WEEK 2

With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done.

Or perhaps for just playing the game.

oasisrose: (Down the line)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-15 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
Bad stuff, huh. Did you have to fight a monster, too?
flagitate: (overbowed)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-16 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
Kind of, I guess. There were these-- monkeys, that attacked us. And these birds that--

[ ... Gale. Prim. ]
oasisrose: (And I'm on my knees)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-16 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. I didn't actually think...

That's sort of a weird connection, isn't it? I wonder how many of us remembered attacks in our dreams.

[She doesn't know much about dream psychology, but that certainly seems like a thing that could mean something.]
flagitate: (yew)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-16 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
I guess so. If it's even a connection.
oasisrose: (When you dream of home)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-16 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
[Jean almost smiles.]

If it's a coincidence, it says a lot about us.

[She leaves it vague if she means just herself and Katniss, or the entire group, or it's some big statement about humanity as a whole.]

Um... so, how did it end? Your friends, did they make it through all right?
flagitate: (tassel)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-16 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
[ ..... ]

I don't know.
oasisrose: (Or are we)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-16 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Jean looks concerned. Once again, everything's a little worse for Katniss. In her own, it had ended decisively -- and mostly for the better. But a cliffhanger...]

... I'm sorry. [And then, scrambling for something else to say.] Maybe more will come back to you, in time...?
flagitate: (stalls)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-16 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
It's not your fault.

[ She takes a deep breath before nodding. ]

... Yeah. I'll let you know.
oasisrose: (Sometimes I get nervous)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-16 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
... ... ...

Huh. So wait. We are all having these dreams, then.

Were they at the same time, too?
flagitate: (yew)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-16 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Saturday night.

Is that when you had yours?
oasisrose: (I know)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-16 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, it is.

So if this does happen again... if one of us has a dream, we should check right away if others did. And then plan to meet right away.
flagitate: (fishtailing)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-17 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Sure. So we just have one of these meetings earlier in the week.
oasisrose: (Are cold)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-18 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Assuming it's on the same night, yeah.

Should I come looking for you, or will there be more flyers to organize everything?
flagitate: (sight window)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-18 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
I'll see if Yuri can make more flyers.

[ That's very important to note: Yuri made the damn flyers, not her. ]
oasisrose: (The best they could)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-18 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
[She hadn't even thought about it, but yeah. She can believe that it was Yuri.]

[Speaking of things she hadn't thought about...]

I wonder if there's an easier way to announce things than flyers? It seems like it must be a pain to put them all up, and then clean them all up after.

[People are cleaning up after themselves, right? Or are they waiting for the neat freaks to get sick of them, gather them up and throw them in the incinerator...]
flagitate: (taxus)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-18 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe if we could use that system the Adjudicator uses. But something tells me he's not the type to share.
oasisrose: (They always did)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-18 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, from what I've seen, he does share some things. It's just never the things you want most.

Still, I don't think there'd be any harm in asking. He seems to like questions like those more than... [She takes a moment to decide how to say it.] ... than the ones that have to do with him.
flagitate: (fishtailing)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-18 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
[ She shrugs, not quite meeting Jean's gaze. ]

I'm not asking him. Probably a better idea for someone else to. [ She still absolutely thinks he hates her after she confronted him, yep. ]
oasisrose: (You've gotta let me know)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-18 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
What, do you not trust yourself not to break Rule 5?

[Of course, Jean had the same concern herself, but...] I could ask him, then. If only to see how he reacts.
flagitate: (throat)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-18 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
After I almost took a swing at him when we met him, not really.

[ ... ]

Thanks.
oasisrose: (The best they could)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-18 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
[She tries not to smile at that -- nah, okay, she's smiling at that.]

Oh, yeah? What for? [She can imagine a few reasons why he'd deserve it.]
flagitate: (swage)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-18 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Just for showing up and writing those stupid rules. And acting like it's a totally normal thing.
oasisrose: (Wake up kids)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-18 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I can't blame you for that. He really does love those rules, doesn't he?

He puts so much emphasis on us, and the choices we make... but he's set this up so we can't do anything we would have ever done otherwise. At that point, is it still our choice, or his?
flagitate: (loose)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-18 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
[ Yeah. That's been eating at her, too. ]

Not much of a choice for us. He's deluding himself if he thinks otherwise.
oasisrose: (They always did)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-18 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I have to wonder if he does think that. It almost seems more like a defense. An easy way to stop us from prying too deep about his own role in this.
