WEEK 2
With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done.

Or perhaps for just playing the game.

It might. Stranger things have happened. Are you saying whatever you dreamed about is so strange that it simply couldn't really happen?

No, what I'm saying is that I don't believe it. Ever since I got here, this place has been on it's knees outright begging me to suspend my disbelief for it. I'm not about to start for such a ridiculous idea like that one.

Your damned disbelief must be stretched thin as it'll go.

You'll go mad like that, you know. Denying everything that's in front of you. You'll stop being able to fool yourself soon enough.

Fooling myself? I am attempting to discern any sort of logic in this situation, Robert. There has to be something I'm missing in that regard, and...dreams that tell the future or whatever you insist on spewing are most certainly not that.

Wouldn't it be easier to admit there's no logic in this place, no rhyme or reason for why any of this is the way it is? Because that seems to be what you're missing.

Everything has some sort of...logical foundation to it. What, do you think we're trapped in "Alice in Wonderland" here? No, no. There's something going on that makes this place, these people, what they are. Sooner or later, it'll reveal itself.

The foundation of this place is Juri's enjoyment of our suffering. That's all we're here for. That's all this will ever be.
