Week 4.
Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Don't forget to save your threads for coins and the activity check, and don't forget to submit this week's activity check and memory regains!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]
INCENTIVE.
I've got something to tell you today; gather in the foyer in about ten minutes.
[It doesn't seem to have the urgency that the punishments do; probably another incentive, then.
Either way, it doesn't matter too much if you show up or not, it's largely a formality; he'll still be heard no matter where you are, given the way the intercom's set up.]
Some of you have asked me about this place, and what it's capable of doing; I haven't been able to give you too many answers, but I figure I can let you know at least one thing about it.
The longer you stay here, the more your influence back home dies.
It'll be pretty subtle at first - just people taking a moment to remember that you're not there anymore - but eventually? Your influence will be erased from the world. Everything you've done will be forgotten, and once it's forgotten? It'll be reversed. Your life will have meant nothing. Your sacrifices will have meant nothing. Do you understand what I'm telling you? Stay here too long, and you might as well have never existed back home.
Of course, Rule Seven is also an option, if you don't want that to happen; otherwise, what happens here is beyond my control.

Always have to be dramatic with these, huh?

The other incentives didn't bother her so much, but this one... it's worrisome.
Kyouko doesn't stick around, leaving right after the announcement. ]
Re: INCENTIVE.
Well in her time as a detective she never worked alone. There were always other people to work with, they could manage to triumph at some point. Inaba...the Investigation Team should be fine, too. It may take them longer to catch the culprit, but it may happen at some point...she really hopes. Overall it could be said the changes wouldn't exactly doom the world, as far as she knows.
The emotional implications are much harder to deal with. She frowns. This really isn't pleasant to think about]

That'd mean her man would forget all about her, right? The Thirteen Kings, too—that's not so bothersome (except it is, in a way she can't really place)—but her boo. Her bae. Her soulmate.
It's leaving her a little more fidgety than other incentives have (regret is not something she generally has, changing things using someone else's power is not her ninja way, things like that), but— really, if they go back, that means it'll be reversed, right? No matter how long it takes.
ugh why does this one have to be like this. ]

Good.
[Her voice is shakier than she'd like it to be, but there it is. And then she turns to leave the foyer.]

At this point, with that dream still fresh in his mind, could he really afford that? Not existing back home? It wasn't like he was in the spotlight in the first place, but... losing all of that entirely? Simply because he's been here too long, enjoying what feels like a vacation?
...]
I wonder how long "too long" is, here~. For all we know, that could be the next few weeks or the next year! Let's not worry too much about time constraints, shall we, bluffing or not~.

[hm. well. she could.]
I'm not sure how that'd even work. There's magic and then there's nonsense.

[... You know. Nothing less.]

[Mozu you
are actually really good at calming people down, even if Ferid doesn't exactly get wound up so to say.]

I'm not going to say that it doesn't make me want to get out of here, but... it'd feel wrong without getting everyone out of here out, wouldn't it?
no subject
It would. All for one, and one for all, as a trio of Frenchmen once declared. We should all be able to leave together just as we came in.

Everything you've made gone.
Her face pales, as much as it can, as she stumbles backward.{
N-no... You can't be serious... That... You...
[She has to get out of the foyer before she breaks down in front of someone.]
no subject
[oh. oh no.]
...Fern, I'm sure he's bluffing. It... It can't be that bad.
no subject
I... I don't... I can't... He... [The words are just fumbling over other words and thoughts.]
