Week 4.
Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Don't forget to save your threads for coins and the activity check, and don't forget to submit this week's activity check and memory regains!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]
MONDAY
Resignation.
But after about ten minutes or so, the Adjudicator's voice can be heard over the intercom system; those who have been keeping track know that it's generally too early for an incentive, but at the very least he also doesn't sound nearly as agitated or out of it as he did after the execution this past weekend – or like he did after Chitoge's attempt on his life last week, either. He sounds blank and odd again, certainly, but whether that's better or worse than the anger is...debatable, really.]
Meet me in the foyer. We need to discuss something.
[And for the time being, that seems to be it, as far as the intercom goes.
Thankfully, the foyer doesn't seem to have been morbidly redecorated this time around – no black coffins, no other instruments of torment; as far as "things that are in here that usually are not" go, there's just Juri, though there's someone else with him that he seems to be conversing with quietly as people filter in. A rather massive someone, down on one knee to be slightly more on Juri's level, though he's still towering over him – there's not much that's going to bring nine feet down to a 5'9" eye-level, no matter what's done.
They finish discussing whatever the topic at hand might be while the other Competitors gather in the room; AZ doesn't look at them, keeping his gaze downcast, eyes nearly shut, and it's Juri who addresses the others eventually, his tone even as he does so, a sort of coldness to his words that doesn't seem to suit him.]
I got a request recently, and while normally I won't interfere with the game itself and how you guys choose to play it, what I was asked for was over on the unusual side. After some deliberation, though, I've decided to grant it.
[He reaches out then, the motion swift and abrupt, almost jarringly so; without even looking, his hand comes down hard against AZ's shoulder, and one of those flashes of light bursts into existence before dissipating entirely.
AZ drops to the floor, limbs immediately going slack and body putting up no resistance; he makes no attempt to catch himself, he simply falls, and the sound of his body hitting the ground is heavy, bringing a sense of undeniable finality along with it.
AZ is dead.]
Eternal has been removed from the game at his request. His reasons aren't really any of your business, as far as I'm concerned, and I'm not going to disclose the contents of private conversations. At the same time, I thought it'd be fair for you guys to know what happened.
From here on out, I want it made plain – removing yourself from the game is an entirely fair course of action. You're going to have to justify it through me first if you want my assistance, but otherwise? Expect a rule change later to reflect that.
That's it for now. Hopefully there won't be any further issues.

... But, he actually stops from getting close enough from making any contact with Juri and is instead kneeling down to where AZ is lying on the ground... and once he's able to ascertain that the immortal man is in fact dead, proceeding to punch him in the shoulder as hard as he can.]
You should have talked to one of us here first. I'm sure... I'm sure... we could have said something to change your mind...
[everything is awful and nothing tastes right about this at all]

[ Yuri shouted as soon as he noticed Juri reached out with his hand, beginning to move with his own feet, but for obvious reasons he could have never hoped to stop the man from doing what had been apparently agreed on between himself and AZ. His own movements had been stopped short after AZ fell, but he just found himself feeling a heaviness in his chest that didn't lift, and the Ajudicator's words seem to become distorted in his head.
He was... pretty upset, and that was putting it lightly. He wanted to say something else, as he vaguely saw Cilan move out of the corner of his eye to AZ's side, and maybe offer the man some words of comfort. But, for the moment, he was gripped too deeply by what had happened to do anything now.
He still can't believe it-- the man just giving up like that. Then again, their situation was deplorable...could AZ be faulted for taking such an action? Certainly not.
His hands just clench into fists.
He wouldn't forget him. ]

She spends her morning in the infirmary, a pile of books next to her. A lot of H. G. Wells and similar moral dilemma stuff. She wants to be on hand, in case anything should happen. That said, she's pretty invested in reading whatever this book is about. What could a title like "Understanding Concept Cores" even mean?
She ends up spending the rest of the day in the dining room without even thinking about it. She just came in for some food, but she's found herself writing down a bunch of notes, flipping through the book's pages throughout. She's practically surrounded by paper as she tries to wrap her head around this whole core concept.]

Later on, Kyouko will be going by the vending machine and putting in a few coins. She gets a few things, but one of them in particular seems to give her pause. It looks like some type of electronic handbook, and Kyouko looks through it. Anyone who's looking will notice just how tightly she's gripping the small device.
And sometime after dinner, Kyouko decides to make her way to the greenhouse. She's looking at all of the flowers and taking her time. After everything that's happened in the past couple of days, including her dream, she needs some downtime. Eventually, Kyouko settles down with a book, hoping to relax at least a little in here. ]

As such, Cilan ends up going to his room and staying there for the rest of the morning. No fancy Cilan-made breakfast forthcoming today, sorry everyone.
However, he will eventually come out for a little while so that he can put up a flyer next to the vending machine with information about the Pokemon here, including not just the ones that have already been recovered but his missing Pansage, Archie's Mightyena, Muk, and Crobat, and even a little bit of information regarding what he knows about a Pokemon called "Floette" just in case. While he's here, he decides to put in a few of his own coins and try his luck... which will result in anyone nearby possibly hearing a sudden cacophony of noise because one thing has gone right today, and it's that we can cross Pansage off that list of missing Pokemon we just put up.
Because of this, Cilan can also later be found today in the kitchen making a lot of food, enough for the Pokemon and whoever happens to come by. Pansage is clinging to the back of his head while he's preparing it though because if you think that we're going to allow ourselves to be separated from Cilan again anytime soon, you would be wrong.]

She enters, looks into the fridge and glances towards the counter before she notices there's something off about Cilan's green head. Huuuuuuuh...]

Nevermind that Brady's taking care of Sharpedo and nevermind that she's explicitly avoiding him because she doesn't want to talk to him about the dream she had.
Towards afternoon, she can be found at the pool - or rather, in the pool, sitting at the bottom for about two minutes before coming back up. She keeps doing it, each time touching something that's sitting at the bottom of the pool. It kinda looks like . . . uh, yeah. It's just a dark, vaguely pointy, blob.
Later on, she's sort of wandering around with a coat in her hands, trying to figure out who tf it belongs to. It's not hers, that's for sure.]

Very late at night, near midnight, he has a little appointment with Angel, and with some candles in hand he knocks on Chitoge's door to let her know he's here.]
Are you ready to try your hand at a seance, Angel~?

Up until that point, Jean had mostly kept her back straight in the face of what was happening. It was actually fairly easy when the circumstances allowed her to bury her grief under anger and determination. But the death today had been so somber, a very different kind of tragedy from the others they had seen.
However, the day decides to double up the heartbreak when she decides to stop by the vending machine in the late morning. It's a moderately interesting haul, including a bottle of a delightful fragrance and a tea that she thinks she'd very much like to try next on her tea-tasting journey. And then, at the end... a crystal shaped like a sphere, with a vibrant blue color.
Maybe for some people, this would be an interesting but fairly useless trinket. You know -- "Neat, now I have a big shiny gemstone as a crowning jewel to my pile of vending machine oddities." But there's something about it that reminds her of the Starlights, the rare and highly cherished crystals from her home, the ones said to store the light and power of the Blue Star deep inside their core...
And she's hit with a fresh wave of homesickness. Anyone near the vending machine can probably see on her face the way it wrenches her in the gut.
By the time evening rolls around, she's in the kitchen brewing up some of the Rose-Hip Tea to sooth her heart. She's also humming something to herself. It's the melody of a somber song.]

ANNOUNCEMENT
shhhh the mun didn't forget, there's a note attached to the fridge.]Due to the circumstances, I propose that we hold another meeting to discuss current matters at 8PM Tuesday night in the Dining Room. There has been a new area opened for us and it would benefit us all to come together and talk about anything we have found. If the time proves to be an issue, I can change it to when we are all available.

But it's not something that Yang wants to dwell on for very long, and she can be found in the sewing room, rummaging around for... Ribbons? Yes, ribbons, and once she's cut a decent sized piece, she's trying to take on the task of getting all of her hair tied up under the damn thing. It's more of a pain than it looks, and it looks like a serious pain.
But once she's done and her hair's bundled up, she can be found in the pool. Now, one would think that after taking so much care to get her hair up in the first place, she would try to exercise some caution regarding the damn stuff. There is no such caution here, however, and she leaps right into the deep end, seemingly intent on making the largest and most obnoxious splashes possible. Hope you're here to get soaked.]
