trustfelled | Week 4.

WEEK 4
Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week.

OH GOD, THERE'S A VERY BIG DOG(HYENA) ALL OF A SUDDEN]

Oh, it's a Mightyena! These Pokemon are said to have a loyal taste, at least toward trainers that they consider to have a skilled flavor to them when working together with Mightyena on the battlefield...

[The Mightyena is probably not going to care about Cilan's taste comments here, so Pansage will start making Poke'small talk with it. Hey there, it's nice to meet you. You're one of Archie's Pokemon, right?]

[...Mightyena is admittedly very confused right now, and since Pansage is there to talk, he's going to say yes, but where's Archie.]

Oh! I was kinda hoping for this one based on the list you wrote up, since he seems, uh, the most... easy to figure out? He sure is a big doggy, though.

Mm, indeed. It has a similar flavor to many other canine-like Pokemon in my world, such as Stoutland, or perhaps more like the Houndoom that live far away in the Johto region...

[Yeah, um, ignoring our trainer for now to focus on talking with Mightyena. About Archie... Sharpedo or Muk would probably be better as the ones to tell you about this, but...]

...well, I guess it's nice to know there are lots of familiar kinds of Pokemon along with the stuff that's kind of surprising to me. He's... kind of a weird dog, but...

[okay but where is he, and where is crobat too, who are these people]

[Pansage is doing it's best to answer it's questions: These people are friends of Archie's, with Mozu here being the one who found you, and our own trainer here. Unfortunately, no one's been able to find Crobat yet and we're not actually certain of where this place is because all of us had been kidnapped and brought here against our will...]

I don't think it's any weirder than any other Pokemon out there. [Like look at Pansage, that Pokemon has a literal plant growing from it's head.] What are dogs like where you're from, Mozu?

[...well that sounds like a mess, and I guess if they're friends of Archie's I'm good with them.

but where's Archie.]

Well, dogs are... generally a little bit smaller? I think there are some really big ones. They also come in all different shapes and sizes, but... there's something a little different about the face and ears, maybe? I don't really know...

[About Archie, we're really sorry to have to tell you this, but he's not here anymore, he's...]

Ah, I see. Are they able to--hm?

[Cilan is interrupted in his conversation here as Pansage tugs on his sleeve. Help us you two, we don't know if we're delivering bad news regarding a trainer's death right.]

...oh... yeah.

[...she doesn't speak Pansage, but... it's easy enough to figure out what's going on here.]

I don't really know how to break it to the poor guy. Animals back home... well, they get it, but they're not as much like people, you know?

[...Mightyena looks increasingly concerned and distressed, because what the heck's going on. Did Archie leave without him? ...He wouldn't do that, right? He's the new guy so he's not as experienced, but...]

[At that, Pansage starts waving an arm frantically--no no, Archie would never leave without you! Not willingly, anyway, we're sure.

Still, Cilan sighs as he leans down a little now to speak with Mightyena at a matching height.]

I'm... really sorry that we're the ones who have to tell you this, but... your trainer passed on, recently. [Died... was executed... all of which just makes his throat stick, hence going with the former description of it, trying to be as gentle as possible.] Before he did, he asked everyone to keep an eye out for you and the rest of his Pokemon and make sure that you were alright in his absence.

[So... like Pansage said, it wasn't a willing choice regarding Archie leaving you behind. Sorry Mightyena.]

[...what, what, no, that's... no. What the fuck??? What the fuck. That can't. Archie's too cool to die. What the fuck.

...yeah, poor guy is sort of bluescreening right now...]

We'll... we'll do our best to take care of you until we can get you back to someone Archie knows, alright?

[We're so sorry Mightyena. Maybe Sharpedo and Muk can do a better job of explaining things better?]

Indeed. [Archie did ask us to check into the Hoenn region after we get out of here because apparently something's going down, but in the meantime--] And if you're ever hungry, I'll do my best to prepare something to eat for both you and the rest of Archie's Pokemon, okay?

[Food is a good way to help a Pokemon's troubling blue screen emotional state, right...]

I will, too! I'm a pretty good cook myself, or so I'm told. Maybe we could even make you something right now?

[...Mightyena is still kind of bluescreening, so he just kind of... nods slowly. He needs a steak to cry into.]

Okay, in that case... Mozu, you know where the steaks and other meat is kept, right?

[Cilan would go get it himself, but he did have a pot of stew that he had been preparing earlier, and it probably shouldn't be left unattended?]

Yes, I definitely do! I'll get right to it!
