Week 4.
Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]

... I guess, in some ways, I feel like I shouldn't be surprised I'm here. Even though I try to live a peaceful life, death and violence have a way of following me around. [The shards of the plate clink together in her hand.] Like a curse, maybe.

[Brady goes over to help her pick up the pieces.]
No one deserves to be surrounded by violence. Especially if they wanna live peacefully.

Or... worlds. You know what I mean.

I don't think...that the world in general is out to get anyone. At least...that's not what I hope. But...you've really seen that much death that you do?
[He doesn't sound judgmental. Just soft, sad.]

[That's a silent yes. But she tries to pretend like it isn't.]
Tell me something, Brady. Have you noticed that many people here seem to come from places with a lot of fighting, if not war?
Hating each other, making enemies... it's actually very easy, if not the most natural thing for us to do. It might not seem like it, but peace requires you to keep your heart open -- and as soon as you get hurt, your heart closes.

There's a lot of bad things out there...but there's some good too. Good people, good times, even here. I think... I think hearts close, but you know-- they don't have to stay that way. Not forever.

You're right. They don't... sometimes they do, but it's all a matter of character.
[She sighs softly.] I guess part of the reason I'm thinking about it so much is because earlier this week, I remembered a friend of mine. A girl named Alice. She resolved that she was going to keep her heart open, no matter how much pain it invited... because if you're too scared of getting hurt, you'll miss your chance at being truly happy.
... ... ...
She was only 13. Is it weird, feeling like children are better at this than you are...?

Everyone's got a different point of view. Doesn't mean you're bad at it or anything, just that you've got a bit more or other things to overcome. That kid you remembered, Alice. She's ahead of the curve, yeah. But it doesn't mean you're behind. Maybe you're just right on track.
