Week 4.

WEEK 4
Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week.

Definitely not. I didn't think the Adjudicator would actually give us something this nice though. This is a really impressive pool!

Yeah. I haven't forgotten what you said about the music room. Since Jean asked for a place like this, I have to wonder if Juri's really got some way of making it. I kinda doubt this hallway just conveniently had a pool in it.

I've been thinking about that...and you know, with everything else we've seen? I can buy it. Do you think this hall even existed before he let us down it?

I have no idea. It's possible it did and he just filled it with rooms, but it's just as possible that he created the whole thing from scratch. There's really no way to tell aside from asking him, and I doubt he'd give an answer.

...Still wouldn't hurt to try. I might... [Small wince.] Talking to him hasn't really been fun? But...maybe I can try to run it by him.

I wouldn't call it fun, but he actually gave me some straightforward answers that kinda helped.

He said that everything will make sense in time. With our memories. It seems like I really am missing seven years, so that was nice to hear. I don't know if I can entirely trust him on that, but it's something that I needed to hear, I think.

Me too. I mean, that they're actually memories, which...

That's what I thought to begin with. So I'm not just taking his word for it, but...you're right. Hearing someone say it's good.

I'm still working through it. Something changed in my life at some point and I'm not sure what it was. I'm beginning to think that information on my profile's correct, but it's a lot to take in.

I guess you guys wouldn't get the same memories back at the same time... That sounds really difficult. I think I get what you're saying, but yeah, waiting's probably the only thing you can do right now. You don't want to upset her any more.

But I get what you mean. I think she'll open up to you, even if it's just a little bit at a time. She's probably just as confused and scared by all of this as you are. Everyone handles difficult stuff differently.

Probably even more scared. She's... I tend to take things as they come. She's more of a plans type. [He smiles.] But... I dunno, don't take this the wrong way? But it's almost kinda nice having her here. Not here, like, if it was just me that'd be fine. But if... If me being here helps her in any way? Then maybe it's worth it.

[At risk of being completely romantic, he clears his throat and just.]

You don't have to apologize, and I get it. This isn't the kind of thing you'd wish on anyone, but I can get why having someone like that here would mean a lot to you. I feel kinda lost a lot and I know if Kimblee was here I'd be a lot more focused. He'd probably hate it here though, and I'm glad he didn't get dragged into this, but... I think I can see where you're coming from.

No, but I kinda doubted I'd ever be talking to any teenager about their love life, so I guess it's a new experience.

...Yeah, I bet not, huh. To be fair, I didn't really think I'd talk to anyone about alchemy either.

Aw, hey- no wonder you must love the pool so much, you use water, right?

That's right. I didn't pick water to focus on because I like it so much, though. Water's easier to work with and more flexible; I figured I could craft an array that would allow me to manipulate the water in anything and I was right.

[He sounds very pleased about that!!]

...But I've always been fond of water, so I guess that might've influenced me a bit.
