Week 4.

WEEK 4

Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week.

COMPETITORS REMAINING: 23

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Don't forget to save your threads for coins and the activity check, and don't forget to submit this week's activity check and memory regains!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]

Pool

[Mozu happens to be heading into the pool area to take a look around at roughly the same time as Jean, so she's a little startled by the yelling, but...]

Wait... you asked for something and he delivered? Gosh.

I know, right? I'll be honest -- part of me was terrified that this was going to blow up in my face, somehow! [She laughs in relief.]

Maybe we should ask for more things!
andneversaydie: (fondly regards agriculture)

[personal profile] andneversaydie 2016-07-27 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Well... maybe if we grease the wheels a little bit things will go even better, but I'm definitely glad this went well! I honestly didn't expect Juri to be, well, nice about that kinda thing.
oasisrose: (Pay my respects)

One of the first things he told me was that this wasn't meant to be torture...

[Because yes, she had to ask that. Can you blame her?]

But I'm starting to actually believe it. The only time he acts like a monster is when this game calls for it. It's almost as if there were two of him.
andneversaydie: (all of my friends are dead)

[personal profile] andneversaydie 2016-07-28 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
...and you told him he could've fooled you, right? But... you're sure right about that. It really makes me wonder... I mean, I've always kinda thought of him as the tax man from day one, so it's not really surprising. But... the tax man just takes your money. It's not like he tries to kill you or anything.
oasisrose: (Wake up kids)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-28 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
No, well... more like I lost my temper, since he was talking about how we decide to see the game. And I don't know. I was feeling like all the talk about choices and decisions was putting all the responsibility on us, and taking his part out of it.

But it seems more and more like he's taking this "job" of his seriously, in his own way.

I don't know how we're supposed to see it any other way, though, especially with those awful announcements he's been making every week. Are we just supposed to get really good at resisting and come out enlightened?

...but yeah. I agree with you there.
oasisrose: (Wave goodbye)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-29 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think so. A trial by fire is one thing, but this kind of evil is only going to damage our souls, not purify them.

Besides, the Adjudicator seems to have his own plans. I don't see how making us better people would help him.
andneversaydie: (maybe... i could be queen...)

[personal profile] andneversaydie 2016-07-30 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
I wonder if I could get a straight answer out of him if I asked him about it again. Probably not, though... he's been a lot more forthcoming than I expected, but I'd imagine there's still some stuff we're not gonna get easy.
oasisrose: (When you dream of home)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-30 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
You know what the worst part is? He seems to like seeing what questions we'll come up with, so I don't think we'll be wearing down his patience anytime soon.
andneversaydie: (:smith:)

[personal profile] andneversaydie 2016-07-30 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
...darnit. You know, it would be nice if we could just annoy him into letting us go.
oasisrose: (Down the line)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-07-31 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
It would be. At the very least, it'd certainly be a nicer ending that how some people want to deal with him.
andneversaydie: it was a very nice dinner funeral (i took it out back and buried it.)

[personal profile] andneversaydie 2016-07-31 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah... I mean, he's not really a good person, but I don't really think he's that bad, you know? It's his employers who I really want to take to task.
oasisrose: (They always did)

[personal profile] oasisrose 2016-08-02 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
Agreed. He's admitted that he is enjoying this to some degree, but...

I would very much like to find out who he's working for, and why. For all we know, maybe he's only getting some catharsis out of a bad situation.

In the end, it's his employers that are the ones causing all this.
andneversaydie: ('scuse me....?)

[personal profile] andneversaydie 2016-08-05 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I mean, I'd really like to know what his deal is, all things considered. But I feel like it might be a little easier to work with him than whoever he's working for, you know?
