Week 4.
Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Don't forget to save your threads for coins and the activity check, and don't forget to submit this week's activity check and memory regains!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]

Brady...
[ Ah, right. He's asking after her. She steps away from the profiles, letting her hand fall to her side. ]
I'm fine.
[ ... That's a terrible lie. Mahiru is immediately annoyed with herself for even making the attempt. ]
no subject
That's... You don't have to tell me, but if I can help, I want to.
no subject
Well, even with her title it only goes so far.
Finally, she sighs, a tired looking smile crossing her face. ]
I'm sure I must have been acting very odd at the trial.
no subject
You...were kind of freaking me out, yeah.
no subject
I imagine so. I apologize.
[ Mahiru hesitates for a moment, weighing her options. ]
... Can you make me a promise, Brady?
no subject
Yeah, what?
no subject
Never trust me when I act like that. No matter what I say or do, or what I may have said or done before that moment... If you ever see me behaving as I did during the trial, assume that I'm acting without concern for anyone but myself.
no subject
[His automatic instinct is to put a hand on her shoulder.]
I-I promised, so I won't, but...how do I snap you out of it?
no subject
You don't. Just be cautious and it'll pass on its own.

[ Her voice is calm again, tone even. She doesn't sound tired, either. ]
I appreciate your concern, but I've lived with this for years. It's not something I can simply be 'snapped out of'.
[ She pauses, then adds: ]
Trying may make it worse, or might make me lash out at you.
no subject
Okay. You do know this best, so...I'll trust you here. Is it something you...you'd forgotten about? 'Til now?
no subject
I hadn't forgotten about them entirely, but I hadn't realized how intense they'd become. For a long time they were infrequent and rather short.
[ And not the entirety of an investigation and a trial. ]
no subject
Do you think...with more memories you get back, these are more...you know, frequent?
no subject
I hope not... but I suspect they will.
no subject
If... If you remember anything else that could help? Please let me know.
no subject
I will. That's a promise I'll make to you.
no subject
Thanks. Help me, help you. All that.
