Week 4.

WEEK 4

Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week.

COMPETITORS REMAINING: 23

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Don't forget to save your threads for coins and the activity check, and don't forget to submit this week's activity check and memory regains!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]

I'm quite proficient at it, actually.

[He barely catches a yawn, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment, before trying to shake it away. Today's the only day that anyone's gonna have seen his apparently fucked up sleep schedule affect him.]

What would you like, Katniss?
flagitate: (forgewood)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-27 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[ He's really out of it, huh. Katniss is a little curious, but she pulls out a bolt of soft yellow fabric. ]

I told you about Prim's-- [ her voice catches, but she manages to recover, ] --cat, Buttercup, right? Can you make a cat?
seventhprogenitor: (36)

[personal profile] seventhprogenitor 2016-07-27 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[Cats are so popular. He'll hold out his hands for the fabric, tilting his head at the catch at her voice once it registers and wondering if he should ask after it. He usually would, wouldn't he?]

Certainly. Is there anything special about Buttercup?
flagitate: (porpoise)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-27 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[ She had expected a question, so she's a little thrown off. But Katniss nods. ]

Squashed face. Half of his left ear is missing.

[personal profile] seventhprogenitor 2016-07-27 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[A nod.]

I'll have it finished by... [...] By the end of the week, I think.

[Okay. Now. Be yourself.]

Have your dreams been well?

[There. Managed.]

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-28 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks.

[ Except he's not fooling her. ]

... What happened to you?

[Joys of joys. The first to notice.

... It takes a little too much thinking to lie convincingly. Have this instead:]

It's just one of those days, I suppose.
flagitate: (fishtailing)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-28 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
[ Uh huh. ]

Did someone slip you something? I know what it looks like when someone's messed up on drugs.
seventhprogenitor: (22)

[personal profile] seventhprogenitor 2016-07-28 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Someone must have. And I think I know who.

[There's no point in covering it up if she's guessed right, after all.]

To get back at me for interrupting her beauty sleep, no doubt. What a vengeful young woman...
flagitate: (♪ stowaway.)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-28 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
... Wait, so Aligula did this to you?
seventhprogenitor: (71)

[personal profile] seventhprogenitor 2016-07-28 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
Why is that surprising?
flagitate: (shelf)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-28 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
It's more surprising that she did it to you.
seventhprogenitor: (21)

[personal profile] seventhprogenitor 2016-07-28 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Because we get along so well?

[ahhhh yes. but if you can't drug your friends, who can you drug]

There's no love lost between us, I assure you, she's still as much my friend as she ever was! Though she says that word is too strong to describe what we have.
flagitate: (traditional)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-28 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, pretty much.

[ ... huh. ]

What word does she use, then?
seventhprogenitor: (78)

[personal profile] seventhprogenitor 2016-07-28 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't ask, and she didn't say, though I suppose "associate" might do... I call her "interesting company".

[... They're friends as far as anyone else is concerned and they hang out and get along and muck around and other people join in that mucking around for some reason, but they're not friends.]
flagitate: (sight window)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-29 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[ ... Well. Katniss isn't even sure how many people she can actually consider a friend. There are a couple here, but... ]

Is "interesting company" as close as you get to friends?
seventhprogenitor: (74)

[personal profile] seventhprogenitor 2016-07-29 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
In a place like this, certainly. It's no good to get too attached to others here. You understand, don't you?

[... Seeing as, well. You know. Ferid waves his hand.]

It isn't to say I dislike anyone here -- it's quite the opposite, even towards those who dislike me. I find everyone here to be interesting in their own way and I'd like to see them survive.
flagitate: (archer's paradox)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-29 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
... Yeah. I understand.

[ She doesn't really have room to talk, though. Beetee. Wiress. Finnick, Johanna (somehow), and Peeta. Peeta. Peeta...

There's a look in her eye that he might be able to catch before she looks away, quickly. ]

So what way am I "interesting" in?
seventhprogenitor: (21)

[personal profile] seventhprogenitor 2016-07-29 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
[He does, even in his state, and tucks it away for later.]

You remind me of someone I'm fond of back in my world. He's very dedicated to finding and rescuing his brother, and his temperament...

[There's a little fondness to his smile, though it's notable still amused and tired.]

You're as easy to read as he is, at times. Both surly, both distrustful, both wary... he would do anything to protect his brother, much like you would do anything to protect your sister; I think you and him would get along.

[If you weren't human, anyway.]
flagitate: (glove)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-31 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[ ... Her sister. Katniss's throat tightens at that, and she still can't look at him. Crying in front of Ferid would just be mortifying, and she doesn't want to give him any ammo. ]

Sounds like a hell of a guy. [ It's all she can really say. ]
seventhprogenitor: (26)

[personal profile] seventhprogenitor 2016-07-31 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
He is, and I miss him oh-so-dearly. Mika is his name -- you might recognize it from my profile.

[Right under Likes, there. You're someone he likes because you remind him of someone he likes.]

... But as I asked before, Katniss. Have your dreams been well?
flagitate: (swage)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-31 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I recognize it.

[ ... Sometimes, she really hates your one-track mind, Ferid. ]

They're fine. [ You're not fooling anyone, Katniss, god. ]
seventhprogenitor: (52)

[personal profile] seventhprogenitor 2016-07-31 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's a real dog.]

Mine have been as well. [She's lucky he's too out of it to want to chase that rabbit.] Genuinely fine, too. Not the sort I wouldn't want to discuss, like yours.

[... He'll say that much, but it's obvious isn't not going to push it today.]
flagitate: (yew)

[personal profile] flagitate 2016-07-31 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[ ... Wow. Maybe some day she'll tell him about her embarrassing nickname, if he keeps being considerate. It's probably just because of the drugs, though. ]

Well. That's good. [ ... ] Anything exciting?
seventhprogenitor: (48)

[personal profile] seventhprogenitor 2016-07-31 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ferid's niceness is definitely because of the drugs, but he'll be more considerate since people tend to like that more too...]

A grand party's just beginning. Everyone's arrived and the guest of honor is descending the staircase-- [a yawn interrupts him and he looks vaguely irritated before shaking his head.]

It's all very exciting. I'm sure there would be some who disagree, but the tide of war is turning in our favor, so why shouldn't I be happy?
