Week 4.

WEEK 4 Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 23

...Yes. I haven't even been born yet in the current timeline.

Whoa. Yikes, man. I'm just dealing with memories of another life I apparently had, that's rough.

Yeah, it's... really complicated. Time travel was involved, my friends and I went to the past to change history.

[meanttobe]

Inigo, what the heck. Did- did it work- but wait, if it did, wouldn't you not be here right now? If you changed history, then the you- your memories, they'd be all weird, right?

[passional]

[ ...okay that just gets him to stare blankly at Brady for a moment, before he shakes it off. ]

Multiple timelines exist. Rather than jumping back in the timeline I was born in, I believe I was sent to a different one. So my memory wouldn't be affected and I can't cause a paradox that poofs me out of existence.

[meanttobe]

Oh. Oh.

[He's quiet for a moment.]

That's...not how it happened for me, so. Wow. Multiple timelines. Are you... Are you okay with that?

[They'd obviously had something bad they wanted to change, but now...]

[ He goes quiet for a moment and stares at the lilies in the sketchpad. ]

...I'm not sure. It means my original timeline is still ruined and will stay that way, no matter what I do.

Can you go back to it? Do you want to?

[passional]

I don't think so, and no. I'd take being stuck here forever over going back to that wasteland.

Yikes. So, if we get outta here, are you just going back to the other timeline? Where your friends are? That all sounds...so confusing.

[passional]

Yeah, that's the plan. We have to save that timeline, after all.

[meanttobe]

...You're like a real hero, you know that?

[passional]

Of course. [ #modesty. ]

...So what's your situation like? You said something about dealing with the memories of another life.

[meanttobe]

[He sighs.] Ohhh boy. Those memories I mentioned last week, the ones that involved dating Mack? Those...didn't really happen, for me. Some stuff happened, and our world changed. In kind of weird ways, mostly...personal to us? But we keep remembering things from what used to be.
