Week 4.

WEEK 4

Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week.

COMPETITORS REMAINING: 23

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Don't forget to save your threads for coins and the activity check, and don't forget to submit this week's activity check and memory regains!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]

[ But for real he'll just nod. ]

... Is it normally dangerous when it's not refined?

[Angel nods back.]

Yeah, and it general it's just... not the kind of thing you want inside you. I mean it's not fatal for most people? But it's a bad time.

I guess "rock soup" is out of the question, then.

[ Yuri pls. ]

So what can it do? Just poison people when its dangerous or ingested?

It contains a lot of weird alien energy inside it, for one. Um... the runoff from refining it can horrifically mutate plants or animals or enhance weapons, annnnd it can be used by Sirens like me to enhance our powers. When our powers, you know, actually work.

[ He looks at the rock, dubiously now, and then... ]

Oh no I think I made a mistake last night and nibbled on it for whatever reason-- I can feel it. I'm... I'm changing--

[ awfully fake monster sounds ]

Okay no, just kidding. The enhancing weapons thing sounds kinda cool though.

[Yeah, okay, she laughs.]

E-Tech weapons are the general term for them, but if you use this stuff right you can make guns do all kinds of things.

[ Yuri's always up for a small comedy routine. ]

Huh. And guns are...?

[ Mundane had to look up Vesperia stuff and technically it seems guns aren't a thing ...unless in one case and Yuri doesn't know yet so-- ]

[personal profile] didntgetdadslooks 2016-07-29 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh boy.]

Ooooookay, so! Guns are... do you guys have crossbows in your world yet?
hesperos: (96)

[personal profile] hesperos 2016-07-29 12:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, definitely. Why?

[ Welcome to medieval times ...where only a few have guns but Yuri hasn't seen one in action so he wouldn't know they exist. ]

So a gun is kind of like that, except it pushes the projectile out through a tube using gunpowder - basically something that makes a controlled explosion when you apply the right kind of heat trigger. That energy pushes out a piece of metal, which is called a bullet, very fast and with a lot of force. But with Eridium, you can make it fire out concentrated energy instead.

[WHY IS SHE FROM SO MUCH FURTHER IN THE FUTURE THAN ANYONE ELSE HERE......]

[personal profile] hesperos 2016-07-30 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
That... sounds like it'll hurt. A lot.

[ He... hopes that's not a thing people will invent in his world (spoilers: it's already sorta invented). ]

Hopefully you guys don't have many conflicts over there.

They're not pretty. We have shields too, but... guns are harsh.

[Take it from the daughter of the CEO of a gun company/military/religion kinda: don't do guns, verperia world.]

It's not super peaceful everywhere, I'll say that.
hesperos: (87)

[personal profile] hesperos 2016-07-31 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Guess it'd be pretty hard for everywhere to all rainbows and sunshine.

[ Even though Yuri's sure that would help! ]

Even on my world things seem peaceful, besides monsters and all, but once you get into politics that's definitely where it gets nasty. Know what I mean?
didntgetdadslooks: (19)

[personal profile] didntgetdadslooks 2016-07-31 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Definitely. Politics are... yeah, politics tend to suck. Hard. No matter where you are or what weapons everyone has.
hesperos: (75)

[personal profile] hesperos 2016-07-31 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep. Plus when they're not nasty, they're boring.

I remember once some guy was speaking at wherever, whatever time and he was a politician.

[ Yuri couldn't be bothered to remember when because who cares. ]

Before I knew it I fell asleep and dreamed I slapped a piece of duct tape over his mouth and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

[personal profile] didntgetdadslooks 2016-08-02 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, if only it weren't just a dream.

[She likes you, Yuri, you're funny.]

Yeah, politicians are... blech. or one reason or another, just. Blech.
hesperos: (70)

[personal profile] hesperos 2016-08-04 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that'd be nice.

[ Sometimes it just happens like that. ]

... Y'know what would surprise me? Meeting a nice one.
