Week 4.

WEEK 4 Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 23

Aye. [he gives it a look that can only be described as fond.] Not very pretty, is it? These aren't hands that were meant to create.

[...Well man, that sure is a charming sight. Brady sits across from him.] Those things are hard to get down even if you do have the hands that make stuff. Don't let it get you too down.

It's the thought that counts, they say. [he lingers over a blue petunia.] It's more entertaining than I'd thought it'd be, really. Clears the mind.

Not really for anyone... More a reminder of someone. Someone I've got to keep in mind, while I'm in this place.

Mmm. [He nods, thoughtful.] Someone to keep thinking of. Yeah, I get that. Is it helping?

Haven't considered murdering anyone yet, today.

So, that's a solid few hours that I haven't. I'd say it's helping, in its way.

I can't say this week's bribe wasn't tempting! Drove me mad at first, thinking about what would change, how it'd change. Bloody Stannis as the Baratheon heir. Ned's father and brother still alive, never spurred on by the kidnapping of a woman who was never promised. No rebellion, mad dragons still on the throne...

And Lyanna still alive, perhaps. So, I got to thinking about her. And I started to make this, to keep me thinking about her. Keep me from thinking about the rest of it.

[He doesn't understand anything Robert's saying, really. Not the specifics, not who these people are. But that last bit.]

Is...Lyanna someone you love?

"Was." The kidnapping... The crown prince stole her away in the night, like the bloody coward he was. I fought a war to bring her back-- won the damn war [he pounds his fist against the table, crushing some flowers.]-- but she died. A fever, probably from being locked away by that beast. I could only bring home her bones.

[Brady jumps a little but he mostly just looks sad.] That's... That's awful. You won, but...you still lost her?

I've never been able to truly feel like I'd won. I'd killed Rhaegar, sure, but he gets to be with her in the heavens, and I'm left to clean it all up. [not. really...]

I'm sorry, man. That's... That's really rough. I don't know what to say.

Or, we could speak of something else! I'm sure a young man like you has got much sunnier things to discuss.

Music I know [y'know with his songs about oral sex with bears], but I've never heard of surfing.

I'm not really surprised. A lot of people don't. It's a kinda sport where you balance on a board on the ocean.

That sounds like a terribly dull sport. [congrats on making surfing sound super fucking boring]

[BRB TIME TO REALLY SELL IT] It's not, I was just- that's not all there is to it, the waves gotta be awesome to even get in a good rhythm. Ever tried to keep standing when the sea's tossing you about? Not always easy, dude.

I've tried, of course, though always on a ship. I imagine a board makes it rather difficult.

Now you're getting it! That's the draw of it, it's like. This thing that's maybe twelve feet max, and that's the longest for the biggest weight class, against the rough 'n tumble ocean. Bigger the waves, the better.

It sounds interesting-- though, I can't think of anywhere you could do such a thing in Westeros. The waters around King's Landing are placid as a lake, and in other places-- well, you don't call somewhere "Shipbreaker Bay" for nothing.

Yeeah, you can't go out on too wild waves, or when there's a storm or something, 'cause then... [if you're riding a magic surfboard you'll get sucked into a musical apparently i mean] Well, you just don't wanna, it's just asking for trouble.
