Week 4.

WEEK 4

Three more Competitors died this past week. Chitoge Kirisaki tried to take matters into her own hands only to be punished as a result while William Flemming and Archie both tried to take the Adjudicator up on his word and escape. Three more of you are gone, but there's no going back now.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, another set of doors has opened up - this time at the end of the western corridor, leading up and toward the north. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it a reward for surviving another week.

COMPETITORS REMAINING: 23

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Don't forget to save your threads for coins and the activity check, and don't forget to submit this week's activity check and memory regains!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]
meanttobe: from now on just good vibrations... (no more complications.)

I think you're giving me a bit too much credit.

[You know, he'll stretch a bit too, maybe he can practice something.]

Or did you forget Terumi kicking me to the floor?

You're still in the beginnings of learning how to fight.

Getting your ass handed to you is a completely normal thing when you're just getting started and it'll probably happen a lot, but that's how you learn to get better.
meanttobe: 'cause all these plans we made in the sand are through (so what am i supposed to do?)

Wish it didn't hurt so much... But, this place is kinda nice. You know, mats.

Yeah, it is.

[ He'll give it that. ]

... Hey, since we're in here and all, why don't I show you some pointers too? Or maybe just an easy-going match?

Uhhh, maybe not a match 'cause you'll definitely kick my butt and I am not ready for that. But...some pointers, that'd be cool.

Alright, sure. I'll make sure your ass doesn't get kicked. Maybe next week.

[ Just because he's also an easy going guy, too. ]

Anyway, let's start with a few. I'll ask a few questions and then whatever you haven't learned given a demonstration or something. Has anyone taught you when punching you're gonna wanna keep your thumb outside of your fist?

No, Inigo mostly focused on kicking. Since, like, knocking someone off balance.

[He curls his hand into a fist- but keeps his thumb out.] This feels weird, I totally thought it was the other way.

Well, that's good for us then.

[ Because now he can still start off with easy stuff. ]

Yeah nah, it's this way. If you keep it like this, when you're punching it keeps your thumb from being injured ironically enough because if it's tucked in the pressure's gonna be not fun.

[personal profile] meanttobe 2016-08-01 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, so... [He gets into a...sturdy position? To keep his balance.] I stand like this and punch like that and...that's how you start, yeah?

[personal profile] hesperos 2016-08-02 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you're definitely want to keep a position that keeps yourself in balance, and throughout the whole entire thing keep your knees bent a little. Because it's important to remember it's pretty easy for your opponent to knock you off-balance if you're standing straight up.

[ That's how he was taught anyway. ]

Inigo probably told you something similar though, right?

Only like the exact same thing. Sounds like you two took similar fighting lessons.
