Week 6.

WEEK 6 Only two died this week; it still feels strange, maybe, but with the deaths of Mozu and Yang Xiao Long, it's difficult to ignore that your numbers are lower. You're almost down to half of the group you started with. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... As before, another set of doors has opened up, this time branching off of the eastern corridor toward the north. Feel free to explore as much as you like; perhaps you've earned it. [ OHHH MY GOD THANK GOD-- ]

You're not dead!

No, I'm not. [ Aaand he'll be swimming over to the edge of the pool so they can talk there. ] And nobody else is either - I've checked.

[flagitate]

[ Oh. Are we actually over this whole murder thing?

Katniss sits at the edge of the pool, her feet dangling over the water. ]

So... it's just a normal Friday. Wow.

[passional]

Seems like miracles do happen. And twice in one week, too.

[ First Chitoge came back (as brief as it was) and now they've gone a whole week without somebody getting murdered. ]

[flagitate]

Yeah. Maybe we can keep this train going.

[ Seriously, she's relieved to see that he's not dead. Katniss reaches over and punches him in the shoulder--lightly, though, and her smile is a little shaky. ]

Don't do that again. You scared me.

[passional]

Oh, you were worried~? Has my handsome smile finally thawed your heart?

...That was a joke. [ Please don't punch him for real. ] I apologize for scaring you. I didn't realize that someone might walk in and think I had died.

[flagitate]

Nice try. Someone beat you to it.

[ ... That kind of slipped out, and Katniss looks embarrassed. Let's shift gears. ]

It's Friday, right? I guess I just assumed the worst... since the worst usually happens here.

[passional]

I was on edge when I woke up and started looking around to see who hadn't made it through the night. I almost couldn't believe it when I couldn't find a corpse anywhere.

[ ... ]

So who's the lucky guy? Or girl.

[ Give him the deets on your love life, Katniss. ]

Pretty morbid to expect a corpse every Friday. I guess that's just what we get.

His name's Peeta.

What's he like?

Pretty much the opposite of me. He's kind. Compassionate. He likes people. He's got this self-deprecating sense of humor, but it works for him. He knows what he wants in life. He's stronger than he gives himself credit for. He can find the beauty in a lot of things. He's got an eye for detail that's unrivaled.

And he makes really amazing cheese buns.
