Week 6.

WEEK 6 Only two died this week; it still feels strange, maybe, but with the deaths of Mozu and Yang Xiao Long, it's difficult to ignore that your numbers are lower. You're almost down to half of the group you started with. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... As before, another set of doors has opened up, this time branching off of the eastern corridor toward the north. Feel free to explore as much as you like; perhaps you've earned it. [ Another Friday dawns. And given what usually happens on Friday, Inigo is (understandably) on edge when he wakes up and starts wandering around expecting to find a body. When he doesn't find a dead body, he heaves a sigh of relief - maybe Mozu's offering paid off and the gods have answered, if a bit late.

It's still early; the clock won't chime for half an hour, so while he waits for the kitchen to open so he can make breakfast he decides to go to the pool where he swims a few laps before turning over to float on his back, relaxed and smiling at the sheer wonder of everyone having lived through the night. ]

[ Well there's no dead body yet, maybe we'll relax with a swi--

Ohhh no. ]

Inigo?!

Good morning, Katniss~

[ OHHH MY GOD THANK GOD-- ]

You're not dead!

[glaciates]

[...You know, waking up after Inigo has already left the room is Weird and Suspicious enough, but it is a Friday, so...

Right, time to actually investigate for once. Wow look at that, Isaac decides to be useful on the one day he doesn't need to be, good job Isaac.

Anyway, he eventually reaches the pool and... oh. Oh no...]

Inigo?

[YOU HAD BETTER NOT BE DEAD, there's no blood in the water but he's not about to go splashing in there with his uniform on.]

[ Good job, Isaac! You're doing a good job at being useless. Inigo glances over at Isaac when he hears him say his name. ]

Hey, Isaac. [ ...Then it occurs to him that maybe he shouldn't have entered the pool on a Friday morning. ] ...Uh.

[glaciates]

That's all you have to say? "Uh"? I thought you were dead!

[I MEAN THANK GOD YOU'RE NOT BUT BEING OUTRAGED IS MORE IMPORTANT RN]

[Naoto is doing her usual patrol to find bodies when she finds Inigo in the pool.

...well...he's on his back. That's good, right?

Naoto isn't going to be getting inside, but...just in case...]

Inigo-kun?

[You alive?]

Hey, Naoto. What a lovely morning, isn't it? Nobody died tonight.

[ He is not dead! ]

For a moment I feared something had happened to you.

[Good! He's alive!]

It's almost unbelievable...no one is dead. Making offerings at the shrine may have been of help, after all.

[ Yuri's patrolling himself looking around for any bodies, and its funny but he's more suspicious at not finding any. So, eventually he comes down to the pool as the only area he hasn't checked, expression pretty grim and his eyes narrow slightly when he notices Inigo's body floating in the water.

Or... what he thinks is. ]

... Hey! Don't tell me you're--

[ Damn and didn't this guy know Mozu too? This is pretty damn cruel. ]

...Huh? [ It hits him almost immediately what it must look like. ] I'm alive! Gods, I picked the wrong time for a swim, didn't I....

[It's Friday, and everyone knows what tends to happen on Fridays.

THat's why Naoto is very surprised once she finishes a patrol and finds...absolutely nothing! And later everyone gets breakfast, everyone is alive!

No one died!

That's why later she's in the Greenhouse, tending to the shrine. If you approach, she'll smile at you. Everyone being alive has her in really good mood]

Good morning! It's a pleasant surprise to see no one died, isn't it?

You can say that again. [So many lines of stress gone from her face.]

Guess we finally get a bit of a break this week. [Not much of one, considering Chiyoko's situation but... still.]

I don't have words to describe how relieved I am for that.

[Naoto places coins inside the shrine and closes the doors]

It's strange to think there'll be no trial today, or gloomy gatherings tomorrow. It's like having a free day.

I don't know if it was Mozu's blessing, or Chitoge coming to deliver this reprieve to us. Whatever it is, I couldn't be more grateful for the break.

[She replies as she brings her own offering to the shrine.]

It's a good omen for the rest of the game, too. Maybe... maybe from now on, we can put all the killing behind us and forge a path to the end, together.

That'd be the best case scenario. [And the one anyone would want to see]

I hope Juri-san doesn't take badly the lack of victims.

[glaciates]

[No one's dead on a Friday, is this real life. Well anyway, after triple-checking all the rooms and finding no bodies (thanks Inigo), Isaac heads over to the vending machine to put some coins in.

Most of what he gets isn't very useful, but something good does come out and Isaac lights up immediately.]

Ah, finally! I can't believe it...!

[He looks so happy to see that gauntlet again. Isaac is quick to put it on and examine it for any sort of damages, but despite being in a machine with a ton of weapons, it's perfectly fine.

Isaac's good mood doesn't fade at all throughout the rest of the day and while he can be found in his usual spots like the pool or dojo (the gauntlet is obviously not going in the pool, but it is staying on in the dojo), he's actually around a lot more today and not holed up in his room being a shut-in. Progress...? He doesn't even have his million notes with him today so it must be a good day.]

Yeah, actually! No one died today and I have my gauntlet back!

Good mood huh, Izzy? [ Terumi's not in a bad mood either, even if he is a bit disappointed no one died today.]

Yeah, of course I am. We actually made it a week without anyone dying and I got this back.

[He holds up his right arm to show off the gauntlet.]

[Angel's not here to use the machine today, but that is the sound of a Very Happy Isaac and she is obligated to investigate.]

A gauntlet, huh?

Yeah! I've been really hoping that I'd get this out of here eventually!
