Week 3.
Grace and Doug are dead. It seems that there isn't anything more to do but mourn your losses and try to move forward. The Transmitter's rules still hang in every room, a reminder of the only means of escaping this place. But surely no one else will give into them, right? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; the static blares out early on Sunday, but at least there are no bodies to find today - it seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, however, it seems your efforts won't go unrewarded; another set of corridors have opened up, much in the same fashion as the other new area did last week. With them come new rooms to explore; maybe some of them will be to your liking. Or perhaps it's better to say that hopefully some of them will; after all, if the Transmitter gets her way, you may be here for a very, very long time. |

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Transmitter, you can do so through text or the phone in your room!]

He’s after the Hyper-Oats.
---------------
New day. New week. The adrenaline is gone after the trial and Kogami is just tired. Withdrawals are a bitch, but he’s managing better this time. Last time after a trial a new area opened, so here’s to hoping maybe it happened again. And it did.
The first place he goes to is the dojo. He gets excited at first, but the lack of a punching bag kind of gets to him. Or anything that could be a practice dummy. Right, this place isn’t as advanced as his time where there’s robots he can beat the shit out of for practice. Though he does look at the self defense pads. Perhaps he could harass someone good at sewing and making things to make something sturdy they could put these in and act as one? He’s probably not the only person who needs a punching bag.
Next is the shooting range, which has Kogami just standing in silence. Those who know him probably can tell there’s something on his mind. He isn’t fearful, but it’s clear this room is helping him recall not a happy time. He’ll look at the bullets and find the ones that look like they’d belong in a dual barrel hunting rifle, studying them with the same expression as he did when he was looking around the room. It doesn’t give him a good feeling at all. Not at all.
In the evening, he’ll be found in the kitchen making himself some hamburgers and brewing tea. His coughing is starting up now and he’s trying to be better to take care of himself. Trying.]
shooting range
Her awareness leaves much to be desired, however. At no point does she glance around her surroundings. If she pauses, it's only to breathe heavily and wipe a sheen of sweat from her forehead, because archery is more work than people give it credit]
no subject
Still, her accuracy is nothing to scoff at. It's good to see she has something to help her now, to keep with her so she can defend herself.]
You must be an archery club member.
[He says this from behind her, but there's distance in case he startles her. After all, he doesn't need an arrow to the body anywhere.]
no subject
Yes, I joined my freshman year. [After a pause, she lowers the bow all the way and turns towards him.] I was surprised to find this in a hospital, but... it shouldn't go to waste, either.
no subject
[There's no doubt, in Kogami's mind, this hospital has been used as a hunting grounds of sort before.]
However, you're right. You shouldn't let your skills go to waste, especially if it concerns your survival.
no subject
I meant competition-wise, honestly.
[She glances at her bow]
I personally don't think bowmanship is good for survival; if someone is coming after you, it might take too long to pull string back, nock the arrow, and take aim. Especially if you're running.
So that's why they're better for hunting.
no subject
No, but if it's you or them and you're able to hide and get a good spot, you'll win with your skill.
[Though she's right. Kogami is the type to bring a knife to a gun fight knowing they would be superior.]
no subject
So she tries to school her expression (doesn't work) and offers up timidly:]
Only if I kept a bow in my room. I don't think I'd be quick enough to run away.
[As if it matters anyway, her mind whispers. Either you're dead back home, or someone else is.
Sakura's smile drops and her eyes flicker to the side] No... I should leave the bow, here.
no subject
[It's true it may not work, but with how proficient she is with it, she could buy time or injure someone should she find herself in danger.
Or even have it as a false sense of safety just to sleep at night.]

Kitchen
[ this might seem like a random question from the bunny girl who is in the midst of eating an apple here, kinda lurking around behind him as he's working on the hamburgers.
... what is this meat prep style? ]
no subject
[His prep style is just getting some ground beef, adding some spices like oregano, chopped onions, garlic, and pressing it into a patty before he throws it into a frying pan.]
no subject
[ #logic.
She never said she knew chemistry. ]
no subject
[It's nice being able to taste food better, but he's really not used to food having a strong taste (or a general taste at all).]
no subject
[ . . . um ]

[ She sure is slicing a lemon now though. ]

Something on your mind?
no subject
[All three of the people up there seem to have an idea of what they're doing, even if they're unused to the particular weapon they're handling.]
They're good, aren't they?
[But she already knew that about Sakura.]
no subject
[Especially for Sakura. She's so demure that he worried, but maybe he didn't need to.]

[Some of these people can't even hold a knife, so...]
no subject
[Agreeing to that softly, she returns to watching Sakura the archers at work, but somehow her gaze seems far away.]
You're not going to join them? I thought you'd love this sort thing.
[Maybe not with a bow, but he is a detective, so a projectile weapon seems more like his style. Plus these are actual weapons they have now, as opposed to the steak knives.]
no subject
[Though she's right-- he probably should be trying to figure out how to use that crossbow. However, that might be more terrifying than him wielding knives.]
