Week 2.
With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Don't forget to save your threads for coins and the activity check, and don't forget to submit this week's activity check and memory regains!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Adjudicator, you can do so here!]

...Are you alright?
[That's probably a dumb question to ask after... everything that happened on Friday. But it's out there anyway, because sometimes you just need someone to ask the dumb questions.]
no subject
"You knew and you concealed it!"
"This is your solution!? This is how you protect our people? You have given us a lost cause! A death sentence! With your compelling narrative, you but doom our countrymen to give their lives for a lie!"
And then the other man's voice snaps him into clarity, blinking and looking up. Oh...has he been there for long?]
...aye, I will be fine for the most part. What about yourself?
[Anything to distract him from those thoughts.]
no subject
[Well, there are probably some exceptions.]
no subject
[He breathes silently through his nose. He's stronger than this, should be since seeing blood is common for him. But not soul sucking.]
It makes me more corncerned as to why this 'game' is in place and what is it supposed to do.
no subject
[Isaac pauses, then shakes his head.]
What could someone like Mozu have done? I don't think that's it.
[He doesn't want to believe that's it.]
no subject
The one certainty I do recall when the Adjudicator made himself known as that we were not captured. It was brought up by several of us and while I have a thought, there is nothing that can prove the claim.
no subject
[Isaac reaches up to play with the stray strand of hair in his face.]
There's no way we can believe everything he says, but I don't think we can entirely ignore it either. We just don't have enough information right now to figure anything out.
no subject
And I quite agree that the information we have is scarce. However, there is a chance we may find a clue if we come together and discuss it.
[But after that trial? They all need help in teamwork, Aymeric included.]
no subject
[A lot could happen in seven years. Maybe he really did become a rebel and absolutely hates Bradley for... some reason. He doesn't know, but the idea isn't sitting well with him.]
Discussing everything we've found as a group would be good. I don't know if we all can come together, but it can't hurt to try.
no subject
I may be a fool for thinking it but I rather be one than to turn my back and do nothing.
no subject
[While Isaac's words are usually pretty even, he slams down hard on that. He settles quickly enough once that's out there though.]
I don't know if we can get everyone here to cooperate, but at the very least we can get as many people as we can to discuss everything like rational people.
no subject
That is a start. We just need a time and meeting place.
no subject
Yeah. I don't know if we've figured out anything, but meetings like that would probably be a good idea.
no subject
Then it is settled.
[Big gulp of tea because nerves are little shot.]
Seems that we will be here for awhile, I have not heard much about your world.
no subject
Oh. There's not really that much to tell.
[so many of his comments have been about alchemy but apparently being directly asked makes him clam up??]
Amestris is mostly farmland. The military's in charge so we've got some big cities at certain points of the country that are military bases.
[HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO MAKE THIS SOUND SO BORING ISAAC]
no subject
I'm afraid I haven't seen much farmland as a child; it does sound peaceful. And the military must be helping it happen.
[If it sounds boring, Aymeric really isn't showing it. He wants to hear more!]
no subject
[And there's something about that that's sitting with him wrong. He doesn't know what it is because that's just how things are, that's normal, but... something about it feels strange now. Isaac shakes his head.]
Since the military's such a big part of the country a good amount of people become soldiers. Alchemists can join as well, though they have the benefit of research grants and are only required to fight when called on.
no subject
[Which leads back to his dream. Furious at his father for covering the truth up but was it true? It felt like it but...]
Seems like our homes have a bit more in common than we first thought.
no subject
[He has trouble dealing with the fact that there are people here who are that old, he can't even imagine a war lasting for that long.]
Yeah, I guess they do. Your profile thing says that you're a politician. Is that true? How does it work in your country?
[Politics in Amestris are "the Fuhrer said we're going to war, so we're going to war" and that's about it.]
no subject
I suppose that I could be called that; my main concern is keeping the people safe from any potential attacks but I also try to aim with what the needs of the city are.
[And not to mention keeping High Houses in line. But...he's mainly military involved? Right?]
no subject
[Admittedly because Amestris is made of commanders who FUCKING LOVE WAR but uh. That's. Not the point.]
no subject
No one said it would be easy but I vowed to protect my people, no matter the cost to me.
no subject
[He couldn't even keep himself together on the battlefield. Trying to protect other people isn't something he can do.]
no subject
[There can be a million reasons but he rather hear it come from the man's mouth.]
no subject
[And for everything else... well, he doesn't like the idea of being walked all over and he gets enough of that as it is. Trying to help others is a very admirable goal! It just... isn't something he can do after what he's been through.]
