Week 2.

WEEK 2 With the deaths of Sayaka Maizono and Mallick Scott the first week draws to a close. While you all have varying opinions on what happened and who was to blame, one thing's for sure: the Adjudicator isn't messing around. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, those weird dreams aren't the only new thing around here; those massive double doors on the southern wall of the foyer have opened up, leading down another hallway and ending in what looks like another corridor to the west. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done. Or perhaps for just playing the game. COMPETITORS REMAINING: 28

Couple of my guys battled some little scamp of a trainer they met there. Got their asses handed to 'em, but no big deal. [Not in the grand scheme of things, at least, or he'd have gotten involved himself.]

[ Right, the Pokemon thing. In a museum?? ]

What were you doing? Just watching?

[Shrug]

They were just about done when I got there. I'd help train my guys up some if they could get beat that easy, but I'm not gonna come down on some random kid just for bein' better than 'em. It's a fair contest!

[Now, if the kid made a habit of it...ah, well.]

Most people I know, they wouldn't let something like that go. Not easily, anyway.

I've got more important things to do. Losin' battles is just part of bein' a trainer. Besides, it'll give those guys a good reason to work harder!

Nothing like losing to get some serious motivation.

Exactly! You get it!

...'course, it was just a dream anyway. [That's said with a raised eyebrow and a bit of a questioning bent. She's obviously going somewhere, asking everyone about this.]

How real did it feel, though?

You're sayin' we're all havin' dreams about stuff that happened back home?

Yeah, pretty much. It makes sense why my profile says I'm older than I should be.

Guess that makes sense...I must've just lost less than some of ya. [No physical changes that he can tell, and his age matches up.] There's psychic Pokemon that can do things like that, but I don't know too much about it. Doesn't happen too often.

... Wait, there are things in your world that can mess with memories?

[ what the hell ]

Sure, if they're strong enough. Comes with the whole psychic thing. But they wouldn't just go doin' that to screw with people - Pokemon ain't like that.

Well. That's good.

... So there's Psychic Pokemon. What else kinds are there?

[That's a big question.]

Tons! Water types are my favorite, but I've got a Dark type too - they're immune to anything psychics can pull, so they're great to keep around. Especially with two Poison types. They don't handle Psychic too well. [YOU WANNA HEAR THE ENTIRE TYPE MATCHUP SYSTEM KATNISS?]

[ ... okay, this is more than she'd expected. Holy shit. ]

Let me guess. There are fire ones, too?

You got it!

[Of course there are fire ones]

We've got plenty o'those in Hoenn, up around the volcano.

[ So many questions, Archie. ]

... Is the volcano active?

[rainofterror]

Yeah, but it hasn't actually erupted in ages. You can even go up and see the lava inside! [There are no restrictions on that. They built a lift to take people up there. SAFETY]

I don't know why anyone would do that.

[SHRUG]

Never been myself. I guess some people like that kinda thing.

Let me guess. You like water a lot more.

You'd like District Four. Their thing is fishing.

Sounds like a fun place! [he may be thinking of a less lethal form of fishing, but] I really oughta do some more travelin' when I get outta here. I haven't been outta Hoenn in a while!
